Hotel Guest Reviews of the Hotel Anfiteatro Flavio

Our hotel ratings and reviews are from real hotel guests. Priceline.com ensures that its reviews are guests-only by proactively sending hotel surveys to customers after they've completed their hotel stays. In the post-stay surveys, priceline.com hotel customers are asked a number of questions about their stay and the hotel. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best, the survey asks guests to rate their overall experience and specifically rate the hotel's cleanliness, staff and location. Priceline.com does not allow site visitors to post unsolicited hotel reviews.

Great location and decent price.
Very small bathrooms, no free internet and is only available in the lobby, uncomfortable beds and pillows.

The place was about average and what you would expect for the price. The rooms were clean and all that you really need considering you won't be spending much time in the hotel. The bathroom and shower are incredibly small and the beds are not exactly comfortable. The location is great because it is only a 5 minute walk from the Coliseum and Roman forum. The metro station is also close by which is great to get around town. They require you to leave your room key at the front desk when you go out so if you don't get a room in the same building as the lobby then you have to go back and forth just to get in your room. There is a fee for the internet and it is only available in the lobby. ...read more

Helpful, friendly staff, and good location.
No telephone in room which made it difficult when we had a problem and had to contact front desk.

Friendly, helpful, English-speaking staff; great location, 24 hour reception desk, clean rooms (but tight quarters) and bathrooms.

Great location - walking location to many tourist sites, but the street and directly surrounding neighborhood had a very local feel.
The comfort of the beds only rate 5 out of 10.

Great spot for a short stay in Rome! Location is great - within walking distance of many tourist attractions but the directly surrounding neighborhood had a very local feel to it. I was on a budget, and staying at this hotel was a much better option than many of the less safe neighborhood options close to Termini for the same price. Hotel staff was friendly and helpful. Overall, I had a great experience and will think of Anfiteatro when I visit Rome again! ...read more

The desk staff was very helpful and friendly. The rooms were clean. But the best thing about this hotel was the location.
I really don't have anything negative to say.

This hotel was a gem. It was priced right and in what I consider to be the best neighborhood in Rome to stay at. It was about five blocks from the Coloseum and yet there was a distinctly local neighborhood feel. I would only do one thing differently, I would ask for a room upstairs. When I booked I didn't specify and got a room in the basement. It was actually okay, but I was there for four days, a window that I could see out of would have made it perfect. However, they had electronically controlled windows and airconditioning, so we were very comfortable. ...read more

Great staff.
Bad breakfast room.

Great location and staff. Rooms on the small side, and the breakfast room is small, overcrowded and understaffed. Would stay again.

Had ac, elevator, close to subway, close to buses.

My husband and I enjoyed our 2 night stay at this hotel. Continental Breakfast was great. Staff friendly and helpful. Elevator ( even though small) and AC a plus. Walking distance to Colissuem. Great restaurants near by. Would stay there again.
