Hotel Guest Reviews of the Hotel 140

Our hotel ratings and reviews are from real hotel guests. Priceline.com ensures that its reviews are guests-only by proactively sending hotel surveys to customers after they've completed their hotel stays. In the post-stay surveys, priceline.com hotel customers are asked a number of questions about their stay and the hotel. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best, the survey asks guests to rate their overall experience and specifically rate the hotel's cleanliness, staff and location. Priceline.com does not allow site visitors to post unsolicited hotel reviews.

Was there for hospital stay with my daughter. The front desk clerk was extremely helpful and help take the stress out of situation. Very comfortable night sleep.

The location is perfect and the hotel charge is reasonable.
I'd rather a bathtub rather than a shower.

Its location and friendly staff.
The walls are terribly "thin", could not find an ice machine. There is nothing in the room with information such as check-out time, do they do continental breakfast? I wasn't sure. The wifi was hard to log into.

Not a bad place to trudge into when stuck in town with a snowstorm.

The room was clean and near Copley square. Nice furniture, but too much in a room of that size.
Terribly small, no amenities, filthy coffee maker, broken shower head, ugly dorm like hallways loud guests two star hotel at best

This hotel should not have had a 3 star ranking. It is not a 3 star hotel. It is a remodeled, mixed use YWCA, with low income housing floors surrounding the hotel floors. My room had just been remodeled, but felt more like a Ramada Inn then a Courtyard
Very thin walls. I could hear all surrounding room noises, primarily from the full-time residents downstairs. The lobby was not what I would expect for a 3 star hotel, but the staff was AMAZING. I have nothing but positives to say about the staff.

It was clean, neat and modern. Centrally located to attractions, food, shopping.
Staff weren't overly friendly. It was small.

This hotel is wonderfully located -- in the heart of Back Bay, Boston's premier shopping and entertainment area. Right across the street is Flour, one of the city's best coffee and light meal places. A converted YMCA, the hotel is austere but comfortable.
The large lighted YWCA sign on the side of the building -- a remnant from the building's previous incarnation -- was off-putting. The front entrance lacks access for vehicles to unload or load baggage. The entrance itself is dirty.

This hotel is reasonably priced, comfortable, welcoming, and superbly located; but not one a person would chose to pamper himself or herself or impress others. It is reliable and practical, not charming let alone luxurious...a comfortable Nike sneaker, not a sexy Gucci loafer.
