Hotel Guest Reviews of the Holiday Inn Toledo - Maumee

Our hotel ratings and reviews are from real hotel guests. Priceline.com ensures that its reviews are guests-only by proactively sending hotel surveys to customers after they've completed their hotel stays. In the post-stay surveys, priceline.com hotel customers are asked a number of questions about their stay and the hotel. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best, the survey asks guests to rate their overall experience and specifically rate the hotel's cleanliness, staff and location. Priceline.com does not allow site visitors to post unsolicited hotel reviews.

Fresh and new!
Were on the 4th floor and could hear everything above us.

We were traveling and this hotel was close to HWY 80. Several restaurants to choose from very close to restaurant. We ordered pizza from Marcos for delivery (suggestion on back of key holder). It was quick, fast and very tasty.

Looked nice
Health concerns 1)At arrival, room humidity level was at 80%, after running the air all night it went down to 75%. 2)Hole in the shower wall, where mold could be growing. 3)Vent by elevator had multiple continuous drips of water. Allergies were trigge

1) No carts to carry up luggage 2) While Carrying my son who was sleeping looking for room 403, first came to 433, 432, so I thought I had to walk to the end where the number was something like 431. Started walking back and the numbering went from 404, 402, 401, 403 and then 432. 3) Kids could eat free at the $10 breakfast buffet and for drinks they only lemon and fruit flavored high fructose corn syrup. Milk and OJ were extra. No hot or cold cereal. 4) They only have 2 waffle makers that took 2.5 minutes to make the waffles. Had to stand and wait ~10 to make waffles. 5) Asked waitress if they had honey or peanut butter and she "no", so that left the maple flavored high fructose corn syrup. 6) Called the hotel and left a message for the manager to call me, that was 3 days ago, no response. 7) Since my Allergies were triggered could not breathe very well had to go to the doctor to get anti-allergy medications. ...read more

Comfortable beds, nice decorating.
POOL THAT WAS ONLY OPEN ON WEEKENDS!!! Also, stained towels.

Pretty nice hotel, good-sized room, polite staff. However, when you get off the highway you can clearly see water slides at the Holiday Inn, so the kids get all excited, and then after checking in we went down to use the pool and were told not even the pool is open during the week - only on weekends. It would be one thing if the water slides were roped off during the week, but to have the whole pool closed? Come on, what a bait and switch. How many people don't have a reservation and decide to get off the freeway and choose this hotel because they see the water slides, and then find out they aren't open? Staff offered a pool at an older hotel across the road, but this was not acceptable. A big downer on our stay. At least in the summer, people take vacations other than on the weekend!! On the other hand, maybe this is why the hotel was almost deserted. We didn't even use the restaurant because we were upset about the pool AND weren't sure how fast, good, or hot the food would be if we were the only customers. Ditto for the breakfast buffet, where they charged for adults and let kids eat free. If we were the only customers, the food would probably be cold and/or dried up from being in the warmers forever. Bottom line, it takes more than a nice room to make a nice hotel experience. But at least the room was nice. ...read more

Lobby was spacious. Patio was a nice place to sit out and relax. Staff was great. The microwave and mini refrigerator in the room.
There was no pool but a seperate admission to a water park connected to hotel.and the hours n days theyre open. However hotel nearby has one and we were able to use it. Bar shpuld be open longer esp on friday and saturday

Location wasnt so bad as its a few minutes from the main road. Staff was great in all aspects. The water park was a seperate admission pay so no pool unless you hop over to the other hotel nearby. Bar and restaurant on site though a bit pricy and the bar closes by 11pm on weekends. The room was real spacious and while my view overlooked a UPS sorting facility and the Ohio toll plaza it was still a great room. Beds were soft though i could have used a firmer mattress. 4 pillows on a bed and a strong air conditioning unit that kept the room cold. Odd part about my room was the bathroom door when fully opened interferes with room door. I dont know why but i had noticed it after a day. Ice machines and soda vending machine are down one end of the hallway. Saturday evening there were kids running down the hallways screaming bloody murder at 11:30pm. This is one minor drawback of having a water park instead of a regular pool. Overall it was worth staying and I had a relaxing 4 days there. ...read more

Large room with 2 large beds and a pull out couch. Slept 3 very comfortably.
The hotel was A+. The only thing missing was free continental breakfast, but that is fine.

The room was clean and spacious.
The waterpark addition is a little weird, but I imagine families might make use of it.

The staff was great! My husband dropped his credit card in the parking lot. One of the front desk staff or managers knocked on our door and went out of his way to find us to return it. They were all friendly and helpful.
I guess it is to be expected for a hotel attached to a water park, but the cleanliness wasn't superb.

Good rate, friendly staff, okay accommodations, but could be a little more clean.
