Hotel Guest Reviews of the Holiday Inn Sioux City

Our hotel ratings and reviews are from real hotel guests. Priceline.com ensures that its reviews are guests-only by proactively sending hotel surveys to customers after they've completed their hotel stays. In the post-stay surveys, priceline.com hotel customers are asked a number of questions about their stay and the hotel. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best, the survey asks guests to rate their overall experience and specifically rate the hotel's cleanliness, staff and location. Priceline.com does not allow site visitors to post unsolicited hotel reviews.

The room was clean and the staff was friendly. No charge for using the laundry was a nice touch
There was no breakfast included. You had to purchase at the restraunt. The hotel seems to be a hub for homeless people milling around in the parking lot.

Leaving
Avoid at all costs. Desk clerks are useless. Still waiting for my wake-up call. Food was terrible. Sleep in your car instead...AVOID

Easy on and off I-29
Odd bathroom set up...towels and TP are very awkward to access due to the configuration of space, racks, etc

the elevator works good. Free coffee in lobby.
got bit by something in the bed. Not sure if the allow pets but I suspect people have animals in the beds. Fire alarm kept going off all night, I evacuated after midnight but went back to sleep through the other alarms in middle of night.

Location and front desk and dinning room staff were very good. Easy walking distance to everything downtown. Internet was fast and reliable, I was pleased with the performance.
The bathroom configuration was not the best as I had back surgery and the position of the toilet roll was too far back to reach well. Maybe if they were updating the bathroom they could position the toilet back against the wall by using a better style?

It's price. It was the cheapest place available on your booking list, for the star-level: an important consideration in Sioux City.
The desk-jockeys--2 of them--had a combined IQ of a fence post. They were slow and unmannered, insisted on taking on personal calls as the line for entrance grew longer and longer. On had to enter the 'hotel' from the back door, service entrance.

Nice bedding! Easy location with nearby food options
Bathroom was a bit tight and shower was older but all was very clean so that's what matters.
