Holiday Inn Saint Louis South

For the amount of money they charge to stay at this hotel I feel like they owe me money for the way they treated us. The management was really a big problem when it came to the feeling of not being wanted. I've been subject to racism before but it was pretty much blatant like I shouldn't have come through the front door but the side or back. Even the cleaning of the room was a problem, I mean why empty the trash just because there is something in it? Or why leave soap or the complimentary items when they're all gone? Not to mention the room service food tray was placed outside the door be housekeeping where it remained for two days. Other people were placing their trash on it like it was a trash collection plate. We were left with no towels and when requested the lady had a why did I bother them attitude. The bathroom tub and sink didn't drain properly so if you took a shower you had to make it quick before it spilled over. The same with the sink, you could watch your spit or whatever swirl around long after the water was off. Then everything in the bathroom was tight and almost miniature. The food from room service was a whole other issue (hot wings overcooked, steak bloody even when asked for extra, extra well.) Overall this place needs some training on racial relations and how to clean a room. I will never stay at this location again and I'm debating on another Holiday Inn. I contacted them about the problems with a email in response back that management would speak with me and of course they didn't. I'm also debating on using Priceline because this is the second time over the course of a couple years that I have had problems. I understand that I'm getting discounted prices but still. Because I've already paid my money I can't say to hell with it and not pay again because I've already paid. nice clean rooms. was very quiet even though it was close to the highway. pool area it looked like it would be a perfect place for kids/adults to relax I would definately stay here with kids. staff was very friendly and the food in Remingtons was excellent taste & price and waitress provided toast, fruit, anf to go coffee with no extra charge. free paper in am close to fairly big mall with lots of shops and dominos pizza near the mall was excellent. ...read more

We've stayed here before and always had mostly good experiences; this was no different except for the malfunctioning ice machine and the small bathroom.

Very clean rooms, pool area was clean kids loved it, there was a nice playroom. Helpful staff. Very good location!!

After trying to check in at the wrong hotel an exit or 2 down, we were pointed to this location and was a bit leary since it wasn't new like the one we had come from. I wasn't sure what to expect but it really did exceed my expectations. Even though it is older, it is very well cared for. Our room was large and clean and couldn't have asked for anything more. no elevator, but the steps to 2nd level were very wide, open and bright, and carpeted.

Very friendly staff, clean spacious room, clean pool and arcade area, and overall a great family friendly hotel. I highly recomend this hotel and will book it again whenever we are in town again!

Its an old hotel and not worthy of the rating. There were much nicer locations in the area and someone is getting paid off to hold this rating for them. the hotel is old and it shows.
