Hotel Guest Reviews of the The Norman Hotel

Our hotel ratings and reviews are from real hotel guests. Priceline.com ensures that its reviews are guests-only by proactively sending hotel surveys to customers after they've completed their hotel stays. In the post-stay surveys, priceline.com hotel customers are asked a number of questions about their stay and the hotel. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best, the survey asks guests to rate their overall experience and specifically rate the hotel's cleanliness, staff and location. Priceline.com does not allow site visitors to post unsolicited hotel reviews.

Location close to downtown easy access.
front desk staff not friendly, hotel pool needed repair, work out facilities need repair, roof in bathroom was in need of repair. This used to be a good hotel, However, it has been badly neglected.

This IS NOT a like....I ran out of room on the "didn't like" section. The hotel was basically low rent appartments for oil rig workers. It wasn't very pleasant.
Lobby was not air conditioned. It was REALLY HOT.The swimming pool was out of order...didn't even have water in it.The hotel looked closed from outside. Exterior was dirty and in disrepair. Their "free breakfast" was aweful.

The room I finally got was just fine. It was quiet, clean and well kept.
I was initially placed on the smoking floor. It was run down, smelly and uninhabitable. The front desk was quite rude and did not want to place me in the non-smoking room I booked. I refused to leave the desk until he did so.

This hotel is on life support after loosing its affiliation with Holiday Inn and waiting for the full remodel planned in Dec 2015 to turn it into a Marriott. Sheets and towels seemed clean.
Other than sheets and towels, the rest of the linens and bedding need replacing. The room smelt a little musty but running the AC helped. Once upon a time this may have been a three-star property but not anymore.

Nothing.
Employees sleep on the job then get mad at you for waking them up to check-out. Room and breakfast were not as advertised.

It was a good middle meeting spot with several good food choices around it.
The rooms were dirty and the were items left from past guests. There were groups of drinking men right at the front door both nights that were a little shady looking and loud. The breakfast was lacking in taste. Pool was drained and shut down.

The location was close to I-35 which was nice
The pool had been closed for 8 months, the internet hadn't been working in over a week when I asked one of the employees. And when I first got to the floor my room was on you noticed this horrid stench as soon as you came out of the elevator.

Hmmmm...
Put "Bates" after Norman and this is the experience! Steven King would have a field day with this place! Smelled like a sewer, the restaurant, bar, and pool were not open. When was the hurricane? This was the excuse. $---? Not worth $---.

Right off I-35 in Norman.
Should be downgraded to a 2 star until renovations are complete. Lobby had no AC. Breakfast was very lame. Room was okay. Bed was not comfortable.
