The room had an overpowering smell that we couldn't get rid of with cleaner or incense.

This is a terrific hotel for the price. Meets typical American travelers standards. As a frequent traveler I have noticed that the newer hotels particularly in the Middle East are building apartment suites rather than rooms - we have been spoilt a bit by this and as a result felt our room in Chiang Mai was a bit small for two adult and two kids; but again you can't beat the price! ...

I have stayed in Holiday Inns around the world and I must say this hotel has the best service. The staff was friendly, helpful and always have a smile on their face. The luxurious decor of the lobby and beautiful room would be another thing I love about the hotel.
