Hotel Guest Reviews of the Hilton Whistler Resort And Spa

Our hotel ratings and reviews are from real hotel guests. Priceline.com ensures that its reviews are guests-only by proactively sending hotel surveys to customers after they've completed their hotel stays. In the post-stay surveys, priceline.com hotel customers are asked a number of questions about their stay and the hotel. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best, the survey asks guests to rate their overall experience and specifically rate the hotel's cleanliness, staff and location. Priceline.com does not allow site visitors to post unsolicited hotel reviews.

Before I booked our room on Priceline.com, I called an agent to confirm the booking details and what the room included. The agent confirmed we were booking a room with a kitchenette. Unfortunately, when we checked into our hotel they informed us that that we needed to pay extra to get the kitchenette and that it did not automatically come with the room. We also learned that the hotel had been in touch with Priceline to rectify the wording on the site as it was misleading and they have had several other similar instances. We needed a kitchen and the hotel would not move us unless we paid the extra cost which of course we were not impressed with because it was substantially more. While the hotel facilities were lovely, we were not happy with the outcome at all. ...read more

I upgraded my room but the staff did not clearly tell me the price of the room. So when i checked out, I was shocked by the price. Thus, my trip budget is higher than my expectation.

Location
The front desk staff was discourteous and rude. The hot tub was being cleaned so we couldn't make use of it.

Overall, the location & service could not be beat. A bit noisy at times, but have had worse.

Location was perfect for going out at night and for heading out on the mountain during the day. The staff were super helpful and friendly as well.
The hot tub was great but could have been bigger as it was always quite busy. Also, having a fridge we could put things in would have been nice.

Hotel was right in the hub of everything and gondola/tickets were just outside the door. Staff was very friendly and helpful with locating places to go and see and do while there.
no where really to park around the hotel without paying the valet service. We ended up parking under the Conference center which was a third the price of the hotel valet service.

Hotel had a great restaurant and a pub and was very centrally located in the village. There was always plenty of staff on hand to answer questions or direct you. Hotel had self service laundry facilities on the floor. Rooms were really spacious and had been recently updated. Beds were super comfy with a big pillow selection. Hotel had nice extras such as big fluffy bathrobes and slippers. Hotel had free wi-fi and speed was quick. Hotel did have pet friendly rooms. Check in and out process was very quick and efficient and we had accidentally clicked on wrong movie and were charged for 2 movies instead of one. Hotel reversed the charge for our error without any questions. ...read more

The heating system is forced air. Its very noisy. It blows right over the bed. It does not allow a restful sleep and if you are allergic to dust then even more problematic. The heating system blows cold air when it reaches the temperature.

I had a lot of problem with the heater in the room. The Manager helped us a little but not nearly enough to make up for the inconvenience. She waved the $30 upgrade I had paid. When I had similar problems at Holliday Inn, they discounted the room by 50% and sent me all kinds of coupons and incentives to return to Holiday Inn which I did. I will not return to Hilton in Whistler again. ...read more
