Hotel Guest Reviews of the Hilton Trinidad And Conference Centre

Our hotel ratings and reviews are from real hotel guests. Priceline.com ensures that its reviews are guests-only by proactively sending hotel surveys to customers after they've completed their hotel stays. In the post-stay surveys, priceline.com hotel customers are asked a number of questions about their stay and the hotel. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best, the survey asks guests to rate their overall experience and specifically rate the hotel's cleanliness, staff and location. Priceline.com does not allow site visitors to post unsolicited hotel reviews.

Friendly staff...
I was upgraded to another room as I am a top tier member with the Hilton Group. However, the room was an adjoining room, and there were kids in the next room who were noisy. In fact, they work me up the next day. Walls are thin at this hotel.

Great hotel design. Great facilities.
The hotel needs renovations. It seems that some are underway (new elavators) but the roof of the bridge walkway was leaking, the pool needed a paint job etc.

The pool area was excellent, and the hotel is literally built into a mountain, so the views are amazing. It was a great place to relax and take in the sun. My room had a balcony and was spacious and clean.
It's kind of isolated from the city, so you're basically a captive market. A cab downtown cost $12 US--close to $25 rt--and there weren't any stores/restaurants in walking distance. Accordingly, food and drink prices are crazy, & you're stuck paying them.

Booked this as a last minute escape because flights to Port of Spain from NYC were really low. The hotel--and Port of Spain generally--are both more geared toward business travelers, but the setting is very relaxing, and the staff are great. All I really wanted to do was drink beer and lay out by the pool, and for that this hotel more than met my expectations. The one thing that's tough about the hotel is that there's nothing really in walking distance, and food and drinks are expensive (like close to $10 US for a Carib beer when you factor in service charges). I would recommend renting a car so you're not stuck depending on overpriced taxis to get you around. ...read more
