Hilton Phuket Arcadia Resort & Spa

This hotel is definitely very nice - catering mostly to honeymooner types. But it was quite disappointing the cost of everything there. 2 - 4 times more than anywhere else and everything was an upcharge. Even the WiFi network which was complimentary at other hotels (and I stayed at 3 others) was $21 for 24hours. The grounds are enormous and you must take a shuttle to get to your room. There is never a long wait. The restaurants are overpriced and the Italian and American food were average at most. Thai food was better. The room was damp due to improperly working AC. Our clothes were damp. The hotel is laid out over such a large area that ones feels isolated and somewhat dumped in a room. Room service and maid service were prompt however. Poolside service was good. Unfortunately the size of the hotel resort gives it a very impersonal feel. Very large resort with a quality spa. However the staff were unfriendly, disorganized and unhelpful. Lack of cleanliness is also a major concern. I booked an early morning transfer to the airport which failed to arrive. As such I nearly missed my flight. Construction was also occurring in the resort which resulted in poor ambiance. Our daughter loved the kids club and the water slide, and we enjoyed the spa (the service and facilities were excellent). Our room and the hotel grounds were very tired and dated. We will not recommend this hotel to others, mostly due to the overall service quality and room quality.

Everything is just great about the hotel.
