Hotel Guest Reviews of the Hilton Montreal Bonaventure

Our hotel ratings and reviews are from real hotel guests. Priceline.com ensures that its reviews are guests-only by proactively sending hotel surveys to customers after they've completed their hotel stays. In the post-stay surveys, priceline.com hotel customers are asked a number of questions about their stay and the hotel. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best, the survey asks guests to rate their overall experience and specifically rate the hotel's cleanliness, staff and location. Priceline.com does not allow site visitors to post unsolicited hotel reviews.

The staff was very friendly. The hotel is exceptionally clean.
To get to the rooms you must climb a flight of stairs - no option. There is no elevator to the rooms themselves, only from the street to the hotel lobby. Makes it very rough for handicapped folks.

This hotel is actually on the roof of another building. There are only 2 elevators from the street to the hotel lobby and they are rather small. Depending upon the number of folks waiting for the elevator you may have to wait for several trips before you can get on. The restaurant is rather expensive (for example, $13.00 for a glass of rather plain house wine) and the service was not the best. One waiter we had was terrific, the other, the next day, acted like we were bothering him by being there. The front desk and housekeeping staff are very friendly and the hotel is very clean. To get to the outdoor pool (there is no indoor pool) and exercise room you need to take a safari as they are quite a way from the main lobby - and be prepared for stairs to get there and back. The location of the hotel is not the greatest and, although you can do it through the underground, be prepared for A LOT of walking to get to the main shopping part of town (we went in the winter where the temperature was in negative numbers so a surface trip to shopping was not a sane option). This was our 2nd stay at this hotel and we would not stay again. The inconveniences connected with this hotel outweigh the friendliness and cleanliness. ...read more

Centrally located; metro underneath hotel. Clean, quiet, comfortable room.
Drain in tub/shower was very slow.

Much above-average large chain hotel.

The roof top pool.
Restaurants were ridiculously expensive, do they wonder why they re empty??

The hotel was just perfectly fine. We wanted a hotel close to Old Montreal-and this was the closest one, a 20 minute walk to Old Montreal but bus station is across the street. Staff was helpful, hotel very clean. Did not like the outside smoking in gardens, they had a designated area but moved beyond that and then throw their butts everywhere, so rude! Hotel is right where route 10 ends so very easy to get to off of the interstates. ...read more

Location was good for first night in Montreal.
Impersonal, no charm- staff first told us they did not have the room we had already paid for, and then magically found something --

Fine for one night - overpriced for what you receive.
