Hotel Guest Reviews of the Hilton Longboat Key Beach Resort

Our hotel ratings and reviews are from real hotel guests. Priceline.com ensures that its reviews are guests-only by proactively sending hotel surveys to customers after they've completed their hotel stays. In the post-stay surveys, priceline.com hotel customers are asked a number of questions about their stay and the hotel. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best, the survey asks guests to rate their overall experience and specifically rate the hotel's cleanliness, staff and location. Priceline.com does not allow site visitors to post unsolicited hotel reviews.

The beach was great, pool, and hot tub. Staff were great, responsive to your needs. Very clean hotel.
I had to request to have my room changed. I booked a room through Priceline and was told that really to get a balcony view you have to book it through the hotel, but he upgradedy too From 2 queens to A king and couch but the room was great! Thank you!

The location
This place was not worth the cost and there was nothing special about the rooms. I have stayed in better motels for less than half the cost.

The location for the resort was excellent and the public places were in good shape. However, there was nothing special about the rooms themselves and were not exactly what you would expect for the price. Stay here for the beach, but expect to pay a high price for doing so.

The offer included a Crabtree and Evelyn bath comp, but it was not there, and the hotel had no idea what I was talking about.

This is by far the best hotel on the beach from Anna Maria Island to Sarasota.

This is by far the best hotel on the beach stretching from Anna Maria Island to Sarasota (Longboat key is about half-way between the two). My room was a pool-side view but actually had a better view of the ocean (Gulf of Mexico) than many ocean view/front rooms I've stayed at in other hotels. If you're looking for a classy place to stay in a safe area, this one is for you. My wife was happy with my choice. It was definitely worth the extra $$$ spent than some of the other choices. My only regret was I didn't stay longer!

That the hotel was on the beach.
It is beginning to look a little run down and needs some updating, paint, new rugs, etc..

I am likely to return to this hotel because of the location and what they have to offer. However I was not pleased that it is pet friendly and the first room I was in smelled like dog!

Lunch by the pool and access to the beach are great.
Dinner was bad and the service was poor.

I have stayed at the Hilton Longboat Key many times for many years. I Have always liked it,
easy to get in and out and not too big.
Some good places to eat nearby.

Enjoyed how comfortable and quiet it was.
I thought the food and drinks in the hotel were a little on the pricey side.

The beach access was wonderful, the suite was great for families, the rooms were a nice size and were comfortable.
The common areas looked pretty run down and the breakfast buffet was outrageously priced.

This hotel sits right on the beach and is small enough to keep the beach from being too overcrowded. When you get down to the beach you find comfortable lounge chairs, some with umbrellas for shade (first come, first serve.) The suite was a nice size, as well as clean and comfortable. Both rooms had a small balcony with a beach view. We found the suite to be great for a family. Some of the common areas such as the pool restrooms and hotel hallways were surprisingly run down for how much we paid to stay here. The pool area and outdoor eating area were nice. The worst thing about this hotel is that you do not get complementary breakfast. When we went to eat breakfast there was nothing to direct you where to go or what breakfast options were available. Someone finally pointed us toward the buffet which turned out to cost $14.95 per person, even for our kids! We paid more for that breakfast than dinner in a restaurant the previous evening. That experience somewhat soured the whole stay. ...read more

The pool staff was very attentive and accommodating with drinks and food.
The humidity in the hotel room was bad; everything felt wet -- our clothes, the carpet, the towels, etc.

Overall a nice place to stay. Beautiful beach and friendly staff. We had a very long wait for dinner in the restaurant -- the staff seemed to be overwhelmed by one large party outside (10 adults, 8 kids). We did not order for 45 minutes; however, it appeared that our server was actually the manager and she was very calm and collected -- liked her a lot. The antiseptic in the pool bathroom was overwhelming and acrid. The pool was beautiful but very chlorinated. The overall feel of the hotel is a little bit run-down, but still nice. Did not feel it was worth $250/night. ...read more
