Hotel Guest Reviews of the Highland Inn Las Vegas

Our hotel ratings and reviews are from real hotel guests. Priceline.com ensures that its reviews are guests-only by proactively sending hotel surveys to customers after they've completed their hotel stays. In the post-stay surveys, priceline.com hotel customers are asked a number of questions about their stay and the hotel. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best, the survey asks guests to rate their overall experience and specifically rate the hotel's cleanliness, staff and location. Priceline.com does not allow site visitors to post unsolicited hotel reviews.

For an off-the-strip location, it was close to the freeway and some shopping areas where you can load up on some good food and supplies at a cheaper rate than on the strip. Also, not a long drive to the strip. Prices are cheap, and the staff is friendly.
Since the area around it is still developing, the immediate area looks sparse. And though this is probably not a big issue, there are very few deterrents to stopping people from breaking into a room easily.

Great and friendly staff who are very open to conversation. The immediate area might not be as well-developed, but if you are willing to walk a few blocks or drive a few more, you can find great shopping, great food, and great entertainment. It was a breath of fresh air after experiencing so much of the strip - escaping off the strip to a bit more peace and quiet was refreshing. As for the rooms, they really are very straightforward. Nothing to blow you out of the water, but they do their best to make sure that you know the place is clean. Beautiful views of sunset to the west in the evening since that patch of land is still open for development. Also, it has nice positioning near the 215 and 15 junction, so if you happen to want to check out Summerlin or areas of Las Vegas out west, they are easily accessible. After spending so much time on the strip in past trips, taking the chance to explore other areas really opened my eyes to how big and how diverse Las Vegas is. And on the plus side, I stayed during the big Mayweather-Pacquiao fight weekend, and it was one of the most affordable places I could find at the last minute. Makes sense, given its off-the-strip location. But still. A 5 minute drive to the strip is not terrible, and I think it was worth the price differential. ...read more

Inexpensive, stayed a week during convention, etc. Good WiFi. Good location if you need to get out near Pahrump before dawn. Real town supermarkets nearby. Under 15 minutes to parking on the strip. I would stay there again.
BIKER BAR shares the office building out front. Noisy some nights with starting motorcycles. Not much table space.

Pay when you stay means pay for the whole stay at check-in. Probably a major pain to leave with your money if you really don't like it. Across the street from a huge truck stop, easy access to 15, and highway noise at night. Night time rowdies from the biker bar right out front might be scary for some in the ground floor rooms. Top (3rd) floor well removed from fray. Fridge, TV, good heater (didn't try A/C in January). No microwave, coffee maker or alarm clock. Clean, good house keeping. Basic soap/shampoo. Coffee in the office 7:30. ...read more

Thankfully it was close to the airport. (after midnight arrival) The check in was fast and simple. The sheets were very comfortable and soft as well as the bed. I know we were very tired, but for the location and affordability - we found it to be quiet
Never looked around, just needed an affordable place to sleep and get back on the road in the morning.

Enjoyed a quick cup of coffee and a donut to hit the road. :-)

that it wasnt to hard to find
i beleive it was way to expensive for what it was it was a one room for one night and it came to
xxx and there was no pool or any recreational things it was just a building with a couple parking spaces in front

this is not a hotel i would recomend when out trying to have a nice time with friends i was just looking for a semi cheap hotel that would be fun to stay at and this was not it i got it during a discount and it was still way to expensive they wat to charge 150 per night plus an extra 10 dollars per person and then tax on top of that if this hotel was like 80-90 dollars it would be a good hotel for its price but as of now its not ...read more

Location is great. Free wireless internet.
It is dog friendly motel, but it certainly didn't design an area for dogs to do their business. It's only dog friendly because you can have dogs in your room.

The price is low, but definitely not the lowest you can get with the quality of service you will receive. You might get lower price online for a casino hotel at the right time. The location is great if you are just stopping by Vegas for a night and enroute to somewhere else, because that motel is right beside the major highway exits and short drive from the airport. Fast food and gas station are within walking distance, so that's a plus. The room is below average, but certainly not the worst. The setup is just very outdated, such as tube TV inside a dresser and etc. Also, my husband and I are smokers, we should be able to put up with cigarette smell in the room, but every morning we were woken up by this very strong cigarette smell that felt like someone just smoked in front of our face while we were sleeping (AC was off due to Vegas wasn't hot enough for it). That could be the room has very bad air flow, the smell never goes away. Overall, I will rate this place average just because this motel served the purpose as a place of sleep for us and our puppies. We were only in Vegas for 2 night for closing on our new home. For visitors to Vegas, that place isn't too good of a choice, unless you are on a very tight traveling budget. ...read more

Firm bed, quiet location and close to everything. Ample parking.
No coffee in the rooms! But there is a truck stop close by.

I would definitely recommend it. It's not a 4star hotel, but if you're looking for a nice, affordable place to stay, this is it. But if you have kids and want a place for them to hang out(like a pool) this isn't the place. No pool.

A great value. Clean and close to the freeway exit.

This inn was a great value, especially in Las Vegas! It is is very close to the freeway so it was easy to get to and from the Strip. For a cheap stay, it was very clean. Our room had no odd smell, no gross stains and the clerk (who we assume was the owner) was very friendly. Sure, it's not the nicest place in Vegas. Still, for basic needs, it is clean and comfortable. I would recommend for travelers looking for someplace cheap and basic. ...read more

The beds are quite large and comfortable.
The smoking rooms had a distinct, old smoke smell.

I was happy to leave.
The hotel and its bugs.

Not going to stay at this place again. Bugs are not very welcoming.

It was clean and nice.

This motel is a bit removed from everything, but was a nice stay for the price.
