Hotel Guest Reviews of the Hawthorn Suites Chelmsford

Our hotel ratings and reviews are from real hotel guests. Priceline.com ensures that its reviews are guests-only by proactively sending hotel surveys to customers after they've completed their hotel stays. In the post-stay surveys, priceline.com hotel customers are asked a number of questions about their stay and the hotel. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best, the survey asks guests to rate their overall experience and specifically rate the hotel's cleanliness, staff and location. Priceline.com does not allow site visitors to post unsolicited hotel reviews.

close to where I needed to go
it was old, it was a single suite, the curtains were stained, the ice machine was broken and overall the room was not kept up well

The suite was nicely laid out eat in friendly.
Was under construction, pool not open, but no noise distraction.

Free breakfast was very good, lot's of choices. Coffee was excellent.

The size of the room was very good with the kitchenette, desk, small table for 2, queen size bed, couch and flat screen TV.
We had been at this hotel and the breakfast was very good, but now it is just ok. They have the waffle maker, sausage, eggs, toast, muffins, english muffins, hash brown potatoes, bagels, coffee, juice, milk canned fruit.Fresh fruit would have been better.

We enjoyed this hotel. Our room was very clean with a flat screen TV and a good variety of cable television stations, but we don't go to a hotel to just stay in the room. The breakfast area is very spacious with an attendant who was very polite and helpful if you needed more food and would clean off the table and counters regularly. The front desk staff were polite and helpful. The bedding in the rooms smelled and looked very clean. Nice towels and a clean bathroom. This hotel is in a business district and our GPS helped us find it. This is our second stay at this hotel and we would stay there again. The price was reasonable for a room and a kitchenette. ...read more

It was clean, comfortable and quiet.
Port-cochere outside needs to be finished.

Good location, quiet, roomy and well appointed guest suites. Perfectly acceptable hotel quality at this level.

I Enjoyed Having A Kitchenette. The Room Was Clean, And The Water Pressure In The Shower Was Great.
The Breakfast Was Terrible, The Maid Almost Walked In On Us And Kept Bugging Us Even Though We Had A Do Not Disturb Sign Up, And The Clerk Made Us Sit And Wait Fifteen Minutes Before We Could Check In When There Was No One In Line Before Us.

Figuring Out How To Get Out Of The Winding, Confusing Parking Lot Was Difficult. The Hot Breakfast Was Really Terrible And Poorly Managed. You Could Get Better At Dunkin Donuts. We Put Up A Do Not Disturb Sign On Our Door, And Thank Goodness I Latched The Chain So The Door Couldn't Be opened More Than An Inch Because The Maid ignored The Sign, Unlocked The Door, And Would Have Walked Right In On Us Without Knocking! After That She Came Back A Couple More Times And Disturbed Us. The Sign Was Still Up Because We'd Been Out Very Late And Were Trying To Sleep. It Was Not Checkout Time. Frustrating. The Number Of Places To Eat And Shop Close By was Nice. The Room Was Very Clean And The Water Pressure Good. ...read more

Very close to many different places to eat.
The hotel staff ignored my " do not clean room" sign and came into the room multiple times without knocking : (

All in all you get what you pay for. I'm extremely upset that this place has The Wyndham name attached to it. The front desk staff was excellent. The staff during the breakfast buffets were always smiling and keeping the food filled. The housekeeping staff however. Wow major help needed here. The housekeeper came into my room many times with out permission and ignored the "do not clean room" door sign. I mean really c'mon. Thankfully the manager I spoke with seemed appalled that it happened and assured me it will be dealt with. ...read more

The bed was comfortable
Ok this was overall a bad experience. The front desk mgr. had a sour look and disposition. She would not allow me to check in early. The bed was made poorly. The shower curtain was ripped and the tub was filthy. The tv was old and came in fuzzy. Avoid!

I wouldn't go back to this hotel even if it was FREE. I am in a different hotel 1-2 times each week. For
XXX this was a ripoff. The hotel is old and dingy. It is partially under construction and yet there wasn't any work being done. The staff was unapproachable. They charged my card $109.90 for incidentals that I didn't order. The towels smelled like jet fuel. There was a cheeze it cracker and two peanuts in the elevator from the time I checked in right up to check out time. The rugs were gross. I can't stress enough that I am unimpressed. ...read more
