Hotel Guest Reviews of the Hampton Inn Washington-Downtown-Convention Center

Our hotel ratings and reviews are from real hotel guests. Priceline.com ensures that its reviews are guests-only by proactively sending hotel surveys to customers after they've completed their hotel stays. In the post-stay surveys, priceline.com hotel customers are asked a number of questions about their stay and the hotel. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best, the survey asks guests to rate their overall experience and specifically rate the hotel's cleanliness, staff and location. Priceline.com does not allow site visitors to post unsolicited hotel reviews.

I loved the hot breakfast, the laundry room and the recreational area (pool, jacuzzi and fitness room).
None

We got a room in the 11th floor facing the the side of the building. We never heard any construction sounds (which is literally across the street from the hotel). Our room had a microwave and refrigerator. That was a plus. There was a TV and alarm clock. The hotel has some cool amenities such as indoor pool, jacuzzi, fitness room and a laundry room (yes, with two washers and dryers - each for $1.50 a load). The hotel also has a bar with happy hour from 5-7pm everyday. In case that you want to relax and meet some people at the end of your busy day :) There is a vending and ice machine in every floor. Soda/water is $2.00 each. Breakfast is included with your reservation and it runs from 6a-10am. The ladies managing the breakfast stations are constantly moving and replenishing the food. There were eggs, oatmeal, sausage or bacon, fruits, cereal, breads, coffee (all day), hot cocoa, juice and milk. Ah! and make it yourself waffles too. Sometimes, they had french toasts. For people who are not able to stay to enjoy a full breakfast, the front desk has breakfast on the go bags from 5a-10am. Location - Just a couple of blocks from the chinatown/downtown area and the convention center. There is a safeway supermarket about two blocks away too. The train/metro is also conveniently close by (Gallery place/chinatown - red line). You are basically two stops away from the national mall. There are many many restaurants close by, so dinner exploration is fun! We had a great time in DC, met great people in the hotel and felt comfortable. We would definitely return if we go back to DC in the future. ...read more

The staff was friendly.
Valet pricing was a bit steep ($46 overnight), but it was nice to know my car was in a locked garage. The valets were very polite and helpful.

We had a real nice visit. The complimentary breakfast was good.

Very convenient location! Ten to fifteen minutes walk to everywhere with a lot of restaurants nearby. Breakfast is free, which is super good since foods are expensive in Washington DC.

Super clean, friendly helpful staff, delicious full breakfast buffet, location, easy 15 minute walk to natl mall, passing by chinatown, loads of great restaurants in walking distance. Next to $10/day pkg lot. Neighborhoods: mt vernon, dupont circle.
New bldg across street, some construction noise may prevent sleeping in. They do provide earplugs.

Plenty of data ports, also have rm with pc, printers, pool&gym. Free coffee/tea, refreshing lemon water always available in lobby. Cozy restaurant, lobby seating to relax, meet fellow travelers.
