Hotel Guest Reviews of the Guesthouse Inn Bellingham

Our hotel ratings and reviews are from real hotel guests. Priceline.com ensures that its reviews are guests-only by proactively sending hotel surveys to customers after they've completed their hotel stays. In the post-stay surveys, priceline.com hotel customers are asked a number of questions about their stay and the hotel. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best, the survey asks guests to rate their overall experience and specifically rate the hotel's cleanliness, staff and location. Priceline.com does not allow site visitors to post unsolicited hotel reviews.

Only Pepsi in vending machine. Eyck! We are COKE only. Aware of vendors and contact, however guests at 1 am when thirsty - want their beverage of choice.

Clean. Awesome location. Microwave and fridge in the room. Good coffee downstairs.
Room size on the smaller side. Shower pressure not great (I'm sorry but I'm too picky on this one). Corridors felt stuffy and stale.

I've stayed in Best Westerns before, but never a Plus. I was amazed at how nice it was. Huge room lots of storage space, a small fridge. Koerig coffee machine. Very comfortable. Great breakfast too. Totally worth the money.
Nothing I didn't like

Stay here. You will be pleasantly surprised. Ask to stay in the bldg that has the breakfast.

Staff was great and accommodating. Internet connection was good and furniture is nice enough.
It is not two and a half stars. No swimming pool as promised. Non-smoking rooms are very smoke odored. Room sizes are too tiny for two and a half stars. Quality is clearly 2 star level.

Not sure how this got bumped up to 2 1/2 stars recently, just adjust that back to 2 and it fits.

Great value for the price; nothing fancy but clean, friendly & welcoming! Breakfast was better than expected for the price & the front desk girl was warm & helpful. Great & surprising experience.

Location that was easy to find and close to WWU. The room was very clean and comfortable enough for a one night stay.
Breakfast was really not very good.

Suggestions for improving breakfast: 1) Improve the ambience of breakfast space. Looked like a charity hospital in there. 2) use real silverware or purchase better quality plastic ware. Impossible to eat or cut those waffles with a flimsy stuff that bends. 3) ditch the icky waffles anyway, and offer a better variety of breads/pastries with real butter and a selection of jams/spreads. ...read more

Very clean, with EXCELLENT mattresses :-) :-) Great staff, too :-) Also, the breakfast was nice :-)
If you are a light sleeper, bring ear plugs. It's very close to I-5. Also, the bed height was GREAT for us "taller than average" peeps, but, if one is below about 5'4", it would be difficult to get into the bed.

Much better price than the Best Western across the street. Very clean inn, with a nice, included breakfast in the Breakfast Room (Continental, plus at least eggs). Night shift front desk person's tag says: "Vampire Shift". That's just awesome :-)

the staff was friendly and and I also like having the microwave and refrigerator in the room.
the buffet breakfast was very crowded and not a lot of supplies left. a few hairs in the tub when I got there also 3 soaps but no shampoo conditioner lotion

overall probably what you would expect for this star rating but overall a good place to stay for a day or two.
