Hotel Guest Reviews of the Galaxie Motel

Our hotel ratings and reviews are from real hotel guests. Priceline.com ensures that its reviews are guests-only by proactively sending hotel surveys to customers after they've completed their hotel stays. In the post-stay surveys, priceline.com hotel customers are asked a number of questions about their stay and the hotel. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best, the survey asks guests to rate their overall experience and specifically rate the hotel's cleanliness, staff and location. Priceline.com does not allow site visitors to post unsolicited hotel reviews.

right off the highway we were using and close to a great place to eat (Good Eats and Treats, recommend their pulled pork sandwich!)
it was smaller than expected, almost cramped for 2 people, although very clean, but good enough for 1 night

Terrible service. I arrived later than planned & found my room had been given away because apparently my credit card had been declined but when I used it to pay for the only room they had it worked fine & manager wouldnt give me a copy of the receipt.

The location was nice and easily found.
I chose this hotel because of the high ratings it received, but the room was not clean, there were ants all over the microwave and refrigerator, we were charged more than other people claim to have paid and what their website states.

When we arrived, the main light in the room was not working, but the owner came and "fixed" it by simply taking off the cover of the fluorescent light (which seemed to be about to fall off the ceiling)and jiggling the light around. It worked that evening until we turned it off and then needed it back on, it did not work again. When we told the owners about the ants, they simply stated that that is the way Oregon is, there was not offer to try to get rid of the bugs or to prevent them in the future. Overall the room was old, dingy, and the beds were lumpy. The shampoo and soap provided were bottom of the line cheap. If we had paid much less for the room (comparable to what was stated on their website or by other people who stayed there) then the room might be worth it, but we were charged far too much for what the room was and we couldn't wait to get out the next day. We would have left the same night, but we were so exhausted that we just went to bed and left early. ...read more

Definitely a retro motel hotel. Very simple accommodations, clean and quiet. It has a small stove, refrigerator & microwave, but no dishes, pans, etc. It'd be a great inexpensive place to stay for a week or two.
It's not a 'luxury' hotel, it's a very simple place, clean and quiet.

I really liked this place. It reminded me of the 1950's. It was a great place to stay close to Corvallis for @ $100 LESS a night than the hotels in town, and that's all I needed. It took @ 10 minutes to get to OSU from there, and there was a very good coffee shop right next door. If I need to spend time in Corvallis again, this is where I'll stay.

It was a good location for us as we have children living in the area. And there was no traffic between the motel and Southwest Corvallis.

Kitchen in room, Direct TV.
Bright lights in parking lot on all night.

Great value for the price.
