Hotel Guest Reviews of the Fort Magruder Hotel & Conference Center

Our hotel ratings and reviews are from real hotel guests. Priceline.com ensures that its reviews are guests-only by proactively sending hotel surveys to customers after they've completed their hotel stays. In the post-stay surveys, priceline.com hotel customers are asked a number of questions about their stay and the hotel. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best, the survey asks guests to rate their overall experience and specifically rate the hotel's cleanliness, staff and location. Priceline.com does not allow site visitors to post unsolicited hotel reviews.

The staff was kind and friendly. The location was very good and convenient.
The bedding were a bit old and need to be replaced. No hot water was available in the shower machine. (It might be my mistake, but I had never failed to have hot water.

Very beautiful hotel.

Wasn't crowded.
Smelled old, none of the pools were working, breakfast not included and it was outrageously expensive.

Hotel is dated and needs renovating. Should not be a 3 star!

Attractive Décor, great price and friendly, helpful staff
the bathrooms in the regular rooms are tiny-the smallest I have ever seen. It would also be great if there was a breakfast buffet included. A shuttle to Colonial Williamsburg and Busch Gardens would be an asset.

Great location for access to Colonial Williamsburg and Busch Gardens!

location was pretty good
the pool was closed room was not very clean no free breakfast which most other hotels in this star level offer no free coffee low ceilings in hall way, did not even seem legal

would not stay here again, do not think it should have a three star rating.

The Breakfast staff was very, very friendly.
Day staff was not helpful. They spent more time talking about their personal stuff rather than answer our questions about the area.

The location is great but the hotel is very old inside. Our room was dirty (left over pistachio shells under bed?) It also had a stain or melted carpet spot next to bathroom sink.

The hotel was in a good location. The room was a good size and the beds and bedding were comfortable. The lobby was well maintained and the staff was nice.
The room had many spots of mold throughout: in the window area, in the bathroom area, and in the ceiling. The bathroom appeared clean but there was the top of a water bottle on the floor which made me think the room wasn't cleaned meticulously.
