Hotel Guest Reviews of the Fairmont Mayakoba

Our hotel ratings and reviews are from real hotel guests. Priceline.com ensures that its reviews are guests-only by proactively sending hotel surveys to customers after they've completed their hotel stays. In the post-stay surveys, priceline.com hotel customers are asked a number of questions about their stay and the hotel. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best, the survey asks guests to rate their overall experience and specifically rate the hotel's cleanliness, staff and location. Priceline.com does not allow site visitors to post unsolicited hotel reviews.

spacious areas, does not feel crowded at all. Staff (when available) is very nice.
The fact that they charge a USD 25 resort fee upon check-out is a turn-off. And Priceline does not tell you in advance about the resort fee (like Expedia does).

Secluded hotel. Large spaces. Quiet. Does not feel crowded. Quality food and nice service. That speaks for Fairmont. They do not employ sufficient staff in off-seasons. For example, to get drinks or food at the beach takes its time. I always wonder why they dont employ a few more people? They mostly gain tips and their fixed cost is easily covered by a few extra orders that guests will place. ...read more

I loved that you can stay within the hotel and do Activities there and not feel like you haven't been in the Riviera Maya. When you sign up to Fairmont's president club (it's free just ask) you get benefits like free wifi.
Front desk people tell you you don't get your benefits right away on Fairmont's president club but you do!

It's an awesome family oriented place to relax and have fun on a lower key. I loved they stay the employes are very nice and everyone greets you with a smile everywhere! :)

Very pleasent hotel
The way they charge for meals at dollar to 14 peso, when the oficial rate is at 13.05. Then when you check out they buy the pesos only at 13.05. Thus they make a .95 or a 7,2% gain on their behalf. Also they charge a resort fee which is not disclosed.

The hotel is very nice but you feel that they are "playing unfairly". with rates, prices and other.

rooms are very nice i paid de cheapest one so it was far from the beach yet the property is surrounded by jungle, lagoons and it is amazing.a golf cart ride of 2 min takes to go to the beach.
the only cons is that food is extremly expensive.yet it is fantastic a breakfast buffet is 25 dollars yet it is amazing!!!! and another not so nice thing for me is that it is very quiet no music by the pool nor by the beach. it seems to lonely at times.

consider somo
xxx dlls fee per day that the hotel charges. did not expected that since i thought hotel room was fully paid through priceline.
