Hotel Guest Reviews of the Fairmont Le Chateau Frontenac
Our hotel ratings and reviews are from real hotel guests. Priceline.com ensures that its reviews are guests-only by proactively sending hotel surveys to customers after they've completed their hotel stays. In the post-stay surveys, priceline.com hotel customers are asked a number of questions about their stay and the hotel. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best, the survey asks guests to rate their overall experience and specifically rate the hotel's cleanliness, staff and location. Priceline.com does not allow site visitors to post unsolicited hotel reviews.April 24, 2013

Some of the staff was snotty. All the hotel restaurants were closed except the bar and children (mine are 9 & 11) are not allowed in to sit at the tables in the same room. When we inquired about other local choices it was suggested that maybe we would like MacDu! translations: MacDonalds I thought it was a bit rude.

This hotel is probably one of the finest accommodations one could get in North America. History is everywhere in Quebec City, but no moreso than inside the walls of the beautiful Chateau Frontenac.

The Chateau Frontenac is a historic hotel high on a hill overlooking the St. Lawrence River and is Canada's only true castle. It is located in the heart of the old section of Quebec City which is the only walled city in North America north of Mexico City. The beds are supremely comfortable and the views from the hotel are just amazing. There are several shops inside the Hotel which offer clothing and articles unique to Quebec and all are worth a look. Parking is available and it is recommended to leave your car once parked as the streets are narrow in the old part of Quebec City.Just abut anywhere else is cheaper but this is a place everyone should stay at least once when visiting this special city. All things considered I gave it a 95 out of 100. By avoiding the restaurant one can assure oneself of a virtually perfect stay. ...

You can't go to Quebec City and not stay at the Chateau Frontenac!! It's a part of the city's history, central to everything in the old city and has great views of the St. Lawerence. The rooms are nice and have a nostalgic feel. STAY HERE!

The hotel is an historic site itself. It fully deserves its luxury rating; the quality of the staff, service and facilities is excellent. My wife and I celebrated Christmas at the hotel with brunch in the main dining room. It was beyond description. The variety of food was amazing and the quality superb. The hotel is conveniently located in Old Quebec City giving easy walking access, even in winter, to a number of historical sites. Our room was very comfortable and offered a view of the St. Lawrence River and the old town. We stayed six nights and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. ...

This hotel is a classic icon on the St Lawrence River. Perfect for romantic, family and/or business. There service and attitude of employees is unmatched in the hotel industry. I've stayed at this hotel for several days each winter for over 40 years.Their predictability and excellence has always been forthcoming. The visit was, once again, truly enjoyable.
