Hotel Guest Reviews of the Extended Stay America - Los Angeles - Woodland Hills

Our hotel ratings and reviews are from real hotel guests. Priceline.com ensures that its reviews are guests-only by proactively sending hotel surveys to customers after they've completed their hotel stays. In the post-stay surveys, priceline.com hotel customers are asked a number of questions about their stay and the hotel. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best, the survey asks guests to rate their overall experience and specifically rate the hotel's cleanliness, staff and location. It was in a good location and easy to get to where I was going
Some of the towels were dirty. But other than that it was clean, the room across the way had a domestic squabble going on guy threatend to kick door down. I called front desk but got no answer. snuck out when I thought it safe, reported it

friendly staff
hard, uncomfortable bed with NO mattress cover and wimpy pillows.

expensive like a hotel, but service like a month to month apartment complex. You get what you pay for.

The hotel room was large, had a kitchen with a stove top to use, had free Wi-Fi and a good selection of programs to watch while I was home. The hotel was also close to a market to shop, had easy access to bus service and had an affordable laundry nearby.
The hotel has virtually no security, the room fridge was damaged, but never fixed or replaced despite numerous requests to do so, the in house laundry was expensive, the morning grab and go breakfast was a joke and there was the smell of smoke and more.

The hotel has a great location close to shopping, markets, transportation and more. The room was large, had a kitchen with stove top to use and a large refrigerator, which was damaged, but never replaced or repaired. There is virtually no service available unless you stay longer than 7 days. The trash room was always full and smelled awful, The in house laundry was expensive, the grab and go breakfast in the morning was a joke and not worth the walk. The hotel staff was friendly, but did little to help fix the problems that existed in the unit. The hotel could be a great value and place to stay with a little TLC, but unless you are staying longer than 7 days or considered a "Prime Guest" the others get the least available and when I tried to extend my stay I was told that there were no room available at the rate that I paid, that seemed strange since there lots of vacant rooms, more than I have ever seen there before. Too Bad!!!! This could be a great place to stay with just a little effort from the powers that be. ...read more

The hotel was close to shopping and public transportation, had a nearby laundry and had a good selection of TV options to watch while I stayed there. The room was surprisingly quiet despite being on a major street and with the Freeway right behind it.
The hotel has no security, the laundry area was dirty and too expensive, the room is only cleaned if you stay over 7 days, the refrigerator did not work properly, but despite my requests was never replaced, the hallways and stairways smelled of smoke.

This hotel has the possibility of being a top quality place to stay if anyone cared to make it that. The hotel has large rooms with a stove top to cook and pots and pans to use to cook with. The room has a refrigerator to store food, but it did not keep the food cold because the door sealing was torn, but despite several requests it was never replaced. The room has ample bureaus to use and a closet to hang close, but no hangers are provided. The room is only cleaned once per week and only if you stay longer than 7 days. You can get fresh towels at the front desk, when they are available. The hotel has free Wi-Fi which was very useful and a good selection of TV options to use, no TV guide is provided to tell the customers what channels are available so you just have to channel search to find what is there, there is also no TV guide provided to tell the tenants what programs are on and when. The room smoke detector was not attached and missing a battery so it had to be replaced, the hotels service person was off the day I arrived so the smoke detector sat until they could fit me in for service. The hotel has virtually no security, the side doors are not locked so anyone can come and go as they please. The stairways were also dirty and smelled of smoke and trash which was not cleaned every day. The hotel had a laundry room, but it was very expensive and had machines not working when I arrived, luckily there is a coin laundry within easy walking distance of the hotel. The staff was very friendly, but did only what they had to do and nothing more. The cleaning staff did what they could, but they only work part time and have lots of rooms to clean and very few workers to clean them. The hotel has all the makings of a great place to stay, if the management cared to make it that, during my stay they were more concerned with getting the rooms filled and not with taking care of the people after they moved in. ...read more

The hotel was close to the freeway and bus lines, had a market close by and the room was surprisingly quiet and large enough for my needs. The free Wi-Fi was a big plus and there were enough TV options to satisfy me. The extra sports channels was a plus
The hotel only provides room service if you stay longer than 7 days, otherwise you have to go to the front desk to get anything. The room refrigerator didn't work very well, the laundry room was cramped and expensive, there was no security anywhere.

The hotel is located in a good area close to shopping and transportation needs and has free Wi-Fi system and a pretty good selection of free TV options. The hotel has a stove top for cooking and microwave for heating needs. The refrigerator did not work well so it didn't keep the contents very cold, which was needed since it was 100+ outside. The in room a/c worked well enough to keep the room cool and the hotel provides a pot, fry pan dishes and other kitchen needs. The hotel trash areas are generally full and smell pretty badly. The hotel staff did respond quickly and reattach the rooms smoke detector, but most of the other room services are not available unless you stay longer than 7 days. The hotel has a generally helpful staff, but they only do so much for the short term tenants. The hotel can be a great bargain if you get the right deal, with a little extra effort it could be a great place to stay at a great value. Some days the staff's effort is there, others... good luck. ...read more

Good location, polite staff, windows that open.
No dishes or utensils in kitchen. Think they were available upon request but it would have been nice to have a few items on hand.

Clean, mostly well-maintained. At some point previous guests must have disabled smoke detector and taken every possible utensil and extra item from every drawer in the room. Only thing left was a Bible, not even an HBO guide.

When I left !!!!!

This is the first review I ever did on a hotel and I've stayed at over 300 hotels. If you have a choice or deciding between spending an extra 20-35 dollars a night to stay somewhere else choose somewhere else. This place is a dump now. The service, rooms, staff everything is horrible. Bed Bugs I'm dealing with the bites now. I've stayed here numerous times since 2005, but never will I stay again. ...read more
