Hotel Guest Reviews of the Eurostars Hacienda Vista Real

Our hotel ratings and reviews are from real hotel guests. Priceline.com ensures that its reviews are guests-only by proactively sending hotel surveys to customers after they've completed their hotel stays. In the post-stay surveys, priceline.com hotel customers are asked a number of questions about their stay and the hotel. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best, the survey asks guests to rate their overall experience and specifically rate the hotel's cleanliness, staff and location. Priceline.com does not allow site visitors to post unsolicited hotel reviews.

IT HAD A CULTURAL FEEL TO IT.
IT WAS NOT IN WALKING DISTANCE TO THE LIVELY AREAS OF TOWN(5TH AVE AND THE BEACH)

NICE HOTEL. GREAT STAFF. GOOD BREAKFAST BUFFET. NICE ROOMS. NICE APPEARANCE. IN GUARDED COMMUNITY. NEGATIVES 15-20 MINUTE WALK TO DOWNTOWN AND BEACH AREA.

It was too hard to find, but beautiful.
Impossible to find, website was down.

Stunning room decor, exemplary staff, extensive spa, high quality, just hard to find.

The hotel was very nice and clean and the staff was friendly and helpful.
There is no sign for where to turn into the hotel. There are lots of signs for the hotel on the road, but you never know where to turn.

Nice room
Almost no service

We had an extra night at PDC, and stayed 7 nights at the Playacar Palace. This place was a convienient location. The two bedroom suite was very upscale with features and size, and a big balcony overlooking the golf course. This was off-season (late May) and there was not many people there. No Bellboy lugage service, no resturaunt, the breakfast was served by the pool and was OK. It was a 15 minute walk to 5th ave. I was happy with the price and it worked out OK for one night. I would be disappointed if spending much more time than that. This place pales in comparison to the all inclusive we stayed for the rest of the week. I did play the Playacar golf course 4 times - awsome! So it was a nice room, almost no service including bell and resturants, ...read more

Great morning buffet every day
The water was not regulated, scalding hot water

It is a nice base, but offers nothing that would want you to spend the day there for. Outside tub was cool, but ours was flithy, and did not work. Notified front desk, still remained gross. On the flip side it had a beautiful roof top pool at their spa. No one was there though to request spa services. Was not a good sign that they offered services that people actually came in for. ...read more

bugs. Worse than that, menager accused his customer lying.

This is the worse experience I had. I found red bumps on my arms every morning, but didn't figure out what is going on. One night, I was using my computer in bed, 3 hours later I feel itchy on my right ARM again, and saw a raw of 5 red bumps. Then I get up and check around room, found one dead bug under a pillow and another one on the floor. I called hotel staff member, she said all rooms are full, cannot change room for me. She said she will talk to her manager but she didn't get back to me until next morning. Next morning, after a few more itchy bumps on my arms, I get chance to talk to manager. There the manager refuse to admit the fact there are bug in his hotel rooms. Not only that, he accused me lying while I know i got all those red bumps in that bed in that hotel room. What kinda manager would call his customers liers? If you are going for the same hotel, watch out for bugs and the "friendly" staff and manager. ...read more

It would be great for spa and golf.
It was completely out of the way and unaccessible to the beach.

This hotel is for people who like to stay put in a gated community. It is beautiful old style Mexico but not convenient for the traveler without a car.

Basically the hotel was pleasant and offered a beautiful view.
Difficult to get a cab into Playa del Carmen.

The hotel was very nice. Our room wasn't as nice as we would have liked but the rate we were paying may have had something to do with that. The staff were friendly and helpful. The food, at least breakfast was wonderful. It's in a beautiful setting.
