Hotel Guest Reviews of the The Empire Landmark Hotel

Our hotel ratings and reviews are from real hotel guests. Priceline.com ensures that its reviews are guests-only by proactively sending hotel surveys to customers after they've completed their hotel stays. In the post-stay surveys, priceline.com hotel customers are asked a number of questions about their stay and the hotel. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best, the survey asks guests to rate their overall experience and specifically rate the hotel's cleanliness, staff and location. Priceline.com does not allow site visitors to post unsolicited hotel reviews.

I noticed that a lot of people complained about The Empire Landmark Hotel, but my experience was just fine. Exactly what I needed, great price, centrally located, close to the conference center which hosted the conference I attended.
The hotel is definitely a bit older, looks like the fixtures are old, but it was very clean, and the staff was friendly, helpful, can't beat the curbside taxi service!

Good location
Worst bed in the world. Felt like I was sleeping on a box with one ply toilet paper sheets. Room was run down and had a lot of deep cleaning that needed to be done. Would not stay here again.

Location
The staff that welcomed me was not friendly and didn't smile. When I asked to repeat directions for where the parking was she seemed frustrated. She should go find a different job. The TV has no music channels.

The view and the location
The heating in the room was either too hot or too cold and it was noisy. The one bed was very small, they as they had separate beds only in smoking rooms left.

Location and the view from 24th floor.
Room was too small. No hair dryers located in the bathroom.A staff suddenly got into the room at 10 am without notification before we checked out, which made us angry. It definitely is not a good experience to have, if you stay in a 3 star hotel.

The room was very adequate. Good bed and bedding. Lot's of hot water.
Strong hum of wind thru the deck sliding door and thru elevator shaft that reverberated thru corridor and audible in room .

Downtown location. Close to all amenities.
Mildew in the tub. Door to balcony rattled a lot in the wind.

Good location, great views. For how dated the rooms are they still are very clean and cosy. This would be a great hotel if the renovated rooms.
Hotel needs a reno, no real eating options other than cloud 9.

location is great for downtown Vancouver. revolving restaurant is very nice.
this place needs a major over haul. The walls are stained and peeling, and the room reeks of rose-scented deoderizer. Reception desk is deceptively glamorous and up-to-date but the rooms are being flogged as up-scale they are not.

If you are sensitive to chemical cleaners and "air freshners" beware.
