Hotel Guest Reviews of the Embassy Suites Hotel Portland-Downtown

Our hotel ratings and reviews are from real hotel guests. Priceline.com ensures that its reviews are guests-only by proactively sending hotel surveys to customers after they've completed their hotel stays. In the post-stay surveys, priceline.com hotel customers are asked a number of questions about their stay and the hotel. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best, the survey asks guests to rate their overall experience and specifically rate the hotel's cleanliness, staff and location. Priceline.com does not allow site visitors to post unsolicited hotel reviews.

The evening wine party and the morning breakfast buffet, and the location!
The room needs a bit more light.

The old hotel is very charming. But if you venture outside you run into local drugged out young bums.

Location! Right near the Portland Saturday Market, a ton of good restaurants, and a short walk to Powell's Books.
Although the pool and its surroundings were clean and well maintained, the underground space is noisy and cramped. It was good for blowing off steam, but not for exercise or really relaxing.

The staff was friendly and attentive, from the front door to the front desk to the housekeeping staff.

The pool was out of order. I understand the reason they closed it as i guess we can not control nature. Bummer deal when you stay at a place for the purpose of the pool and then find out it is not an option. Was offered to use other hotel pool but

With 2toddlers not the easiest option for mom. Thanks though for the offer as the situation was a bit unavoidable.

The way it still looks so good while keeping the original look of the era.
Our suite was billed a having a "city view". It did but it was only pretty at night. During the day, we were looking out at very old ugly buildings and rooftops.

Great stay overall. Breakfast buffet was outstanding.

The room was well laid out and the breakfast buffet was amazing! Hotel was centrally located to all the places we chose to visit.
Remote control batteries dead for both TVs. Not a huge issue though.

Front desk staff was very nice and efficient at check in and check out. Loved restaurant and bakery located downstairs. Didn't check out all the amenities, but we'll be back!
