Hotel Guest Reviews of the Embassy Suites Hotel Portland-Downtown

Our hotel ratings and reviews are from real hotel guests. Priceline.com ensures that its reviews are guests-only by proactively sending hotel surveys to customers after they've completed their hotel stays. In the post-stay surveys, priceline.com hotel customers are asked a number of questions about their stay and the hotel. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best, the survey asks guests to rate their overall experience and specifically rate the hotel's cleanliness, staff and location. Priceline.com does not allow site visitors to post unsolicited hotel reviews.

This is an elegant and lovely old building. The breakfast is unbelievably delicious with excellent selections. The bed was comfortable and the staff was friendly and courteous.
The fact that wi-fi and parking are not included in the cost of our room was quite a disappointment. I am unsure if I will return for these reasons.

Suite style rooms.
No on demand movies. If you want to watch a movie on the TV, you had to go to lobby, borrow a DVR player, hook it up in your room and then find a DVD in their small collection of DVD's available to borrow (or bring your own).

Good location, comfortable room, free breakfast.
Some of the staff were friendly, some were not. They offer free breakfast but you had to search high and low to find where they were serving. Not very well marked. Valet parking charges were outrageous!

The location is perfect and the building itself is beautiful. Air conditioning worked wonderfully.
The room was not up to the usual standard. The bathroom was still dirty and even though I did not request it, I got a handicap access room so no tub & the shower water got the entire room wet. The phones didn't work so I couldn't reach the front desk.
