The value was amazing. This is my IDK fifth hotel stay in two months; it was the least expensive and the nicest accomodation to date.
It was under construction so that wasn't great but honestly, we weren't hanging out in the hotel so it really did NOT have an impact on us.

My first trip to New Orleans and boy was it memorable! We got there early, they apologized the room wasn't ready and called us when it was. We were a nice walk from so many places. If you are lazy, take a cab, but if you are interested in increasing your step count, this is actually the perfect location. The breakfast had just about every food you could think of; they changed the menu slightly each day; I had bacon, grits, sausage gravy N biscuits, omlettes, french toast, yogurt, cereal and fruit. There was also other foods but I couldn't try them all. Given the already low price of the suite, I could not have asked for more in a hotel. more

Staff was friendly.
The happy hour and breakfast were terrible only one person cooking and making drinks. It was a holiday weekend should have had more people on staff. Was the worst embassy suites we've ever stayed at. Needed a roll away, was told no it wouldn't fit.

The hotel was old and needed updating room was clean and had been painted over many many times. Had to go outside to get to the room like a motel. Staff were very friendly but not accomodating. Only one person to serv the entire hotel drinks and cook breakfast, terrible! Needed roll away wouldn't let us have one, because they said it wouldnt fit, I beg to differ. This is by far the worst Embassy Suites I have ever stayed at. Personally dont think it deserves to be called embassy suite . more

The staff was great. The overall service was ok.
I woke up with water over almost entire room due to a pipe bursting next door and only to be told to leave the room with nowhere to go. Had to wait until a room became available.

I was upset because i wasnt aware the hotel was being renovated until I arrived. The pool was extra small. Hot tub unavailable. Had cocktails in a small crowded area. I just wasn't happy with the hotel, but probably would have been fine until the room flooded and had to leave that early in the morning and wait until later because no rooms were available. I spent a lot of money and just didn't feel like I got what I paid for. I have stayed in Embassy Suites before and was pleased with services. This time, not so much. We invited friends to stay and just got a raw deal. more

A few of the employees were a little not negative people.

After 20 years traveling to many states and countries with the Military plus many personal vacations I can say without a doubt that this was definitely one of the top three worst hotel experiences of my life. The pool and sauna were closed due to construction, however they were not closed or advertised as being closed when I booked the room. The hotel was semi clean at best. My room smelled like mold. The construction was very inconvenient and again not advertised when I booked the room. The hotel advertised cooked to order breakfast but only offered a buffet style which made me sick the one day I ate it so I didn't go back to get sick again. I could never find anyone in the Starbucks lounge to even try to get a cup of coffee. House keeping did not speak or understand English to the point that when I told them I was fine, just take out the trash they had to go get someone to interpret. Priceline suckered me in with "Low Prices" and an initial claim that my booking was refundable, however after clicking on the hotel there are statements in obscure places that say non-refundable so I was forced to take this reservation even after finding out that if I had gone to the Marriot Courtyard's home page I would have saved more than $150 for my four night stay and would have had the option to cancel and get a full refund. Additionally my friend who stayed at the Marriot had a great time, loved the hotel and amenities, and never got sick from the food. To Quote her, "Now don't you feel like an Idiot for using Priceline"! I never intend to use Priceline, Embassy, or Hilton again. Thank you for making my vacation a little less enjoyable. more

Price, free breakfast and cocktails

Really felt like we got our money's worth. Staff was very friendly. Food was delicious, from free breakfast to dinner at Sugar House. Would definitely stay again.

The staff were fantastic and friendly! Location was convenient in New Orleans to other attractions.
Usually, Embassy Suites is family-friendly, tastefully decorated. Not this one!The murels painted in the breakfast room were sleazy (a literal life-size strip tease) which stoops to the culture of the area. Our room was in another building! Beware!

After checking in, we found out we were in the "lofts" instead of the hotel itself, so in a wheelchair & with luggage, we were escorted out the parking garage to the broken sidewalks in the rain to another hotel. "The Lofts at Embassy Suites" was a total surprise and disappointment to us. Our room was in another building! BEWARE! Usually, Embassy Suites is family friendly, tastefully decorated. The murels painted in the breakfast room were sleazy (ie a literal life-size strip tease) which stoops to the culture of the area. Not appetizing, not fun to explain to the children, not appropriate, not appreciated. We will NOT be staying here again! more

The hotel was in a great location.
The ceiling fan in the bedroom was very old and very noisy.

The hotel is in a great location. Walking distance to the casino - quite a hike to the French Quarter but doable. The breakfast was great. My only gripe was the noisy ceiling fan. I told the front desk people, and nothing was done about it. That was the only disappointment. Otherwise, we had a great stay!
