Hotel Guest Reviews of the El San Juan Resort And Casino

Our hotel ratings and reviews are from real hotel guests. Priceline.com ensures that its reviews are guests-only by proactively sending hotel surveys to customers after they've completed their hotel stays. In the post-stay surveys, priceline.com hotel customers are asked a number of questions about their stay and the hotel. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best, the survey asks guests to rate their overall experience and specifically rate the hotel's cleanliness, staff and location. Priceline.com does not allow site visitors to post unsolicited hotel reviews.

I've been here before and love the hotel and location. Staff is friendly and helpful. The only thing I didn't like this time was the 30.00 daily resort fee. It seems a little high....I sort of expect a towel and beach chair to be included in the booking price. I traveled with my daughter (adult) and had a wonderful time. I would recommend this hotel, but just be aware of the resort fee. They do have lots of activities included if you wish to participate...yoga, ping/pong, corn hole toss, and a huge chess board outside. The hammocks are also a wonderful relaxation area. ...read more

Beautiful facility
I asked for a room with double bed and they stated that they didn't have one but not sure if I believe them. They said that they could request a rolling bed so I requested twice but they rolling bed never made it.

Staff were not helpful. Be aware that they will try to charge you for services that you do not use such as internet. They do not have WiFi included in the room but such a big hotel I was expected this to be standard. Good location though.

Close to airport. Lots of pool space, right on beach with direct access to water sports. Beautiful lobby and friendly staff from bell hop to check-in personnel to concierge.
Only thing I could think of is the dirty window curtain. Housekeeping should clean the entire room before next guests check-in. It did not effect out stay, just a heads up.

Airport to hotel is $12 +$1 per bag in taxi. Hotel check-in is late afternoon, so for those arriving early, the naturally friendly and warm doormen/hotel offer free baggage storage until room is available and they will bring them to your room. Very beautiful hotel overall. We spent both days in Old San Juan and the ride over via taxi was $21. I would definitely stay again should I visit San Juan! ...read more

We were impressed with the resort grounds and service. The pools and ocean front were exactly how it appears in the pictures. Our price was very reasonable and our party of 17 was pleased with every aspect of the resort. I would recommend this resort!

El San Juan in Carolina was an extremely beautiful resort. The pools and ocean views were breathtaking. Even though some of the cabanas needed repair to keep the covers on in the winds, it was still quite beautiful and relaxing. The Ocean breeze allows for a comfortable time to play in the water or sleep in the plentiful lounge chairs, round patio furniture, or the cabana beds. The staff was friendly, but the bar service to the beach was a little too infrequent. This was not problem, because we needed to move about anyway so we retrieved out own buckets of beer. The rooms in the tower were impressive in all white! My first reaction was, "wow". Even though it is an older resort, I still felt the rooms were resort quality. I was impressed with my cost on Priceline and with the amount of imentities this resort offered. I would recommend this resort to travelers with young children, teenagers, and adults. There are places to eat, shop, and drink witin walking distance. Very relaxing and beautiful! ...read more

The hotel had great pools and lounging areas. The beach was a step away.
I did not know about the 16.00 a day resort fee until I gotthere. Also had charges on my bill that weren't mine and had to call to dispute. The bed was comfortable but low. No free internet in the room. Watch out for the sand fleas on the beach, they bite.
