Hotel Guest Reviews of the El Beaterio

Our hotel ratings and reviews are from real hotel guests. Priceline.com ensures that its reviews are guests-only by proactively sending hotel surveys to customers after they've completed their hotel stays. In the post-stay surveys, priceline.com hotel customers are asked a number of questions about their stay and the hotel. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best, the survey asks guests to rate their overall experience and specifically rate the hotel's cleanliness, staff and location. Priceline.com does not allow site visitors to post unsolicited hotel reviews.

This hotel is a dream come true. We slept in a 17th century convent with all the modern amenities of this one. Hotel Employees have so much class & social skills that they can work in the best hotel in Paris.
We can't think of anything. Really!!

This hotel was my favorite part of my trip to Santo Domingo. The hotel is a tourist attraction in its own right! It is simply beautiful! The hotel is also very conveniently located to all the attractions in the Zona Colonial and the Malceon. GREAT hotel!

The small size (only 12 rooms), the garden area, free wifi and a rooftop patio.

Closer to a stay in your own home, than in a major hotel, El Beaterio has many references to 'guest house'. Considering the great location in the Colonial Zone, and it's history, only the rooms have air conditioning. Mornings and evenings, a breeze blows through entry and dining areas. During midday, fans keep the air moving, but it is still humid. The staff was very helpful, attentive and personal. A pedestrian only road with many restaurants is 1 1/2 blocks away. The only unexpected was the in the cost. On priceline.com, I sawxxx per night, but the actual prices were unexpected. You won't pay until sometime in your stay. The nightly rate goes by person and includes breakfast for all. One person: $75, 2 persons: $100 and 3 persons: $130. Most of the rooms will comfortably hold 3-4 adults with 2 beds. Space permitting, the office will take special requests. A charming place to call home for a few days. ...read more
