Location is excellent- right off the 94 fwy - which is s straight shot to downtown and only a couple of blocks away from the 8 fwy - which is a straight shot toward the beaches.
Smokey smelling room. There are signs posted everywhere (each building, each landing of the stairwell) - that rooms are designated as 'SMOKING' but you are warned the smell is known to permeate through walls.

I stayed three nights. The parking lot is well lit - the hotel buildings form an enclave around the parking lot. There is a tall fence all around the complex. fairly quiet in the evenings....of course, that all depends on the tenants - and my last night there a very loud family occupied the room next to mine. Otherwise. good price and good location. Free WiFi and breakfast. Nice staff - though they don't smile much. more

The room had a refrigerator, microwave, hair dryer and a nice tv.
Possible health department concerns.

Room seemed clean at first because of dark colors but smelled strange, &like cigarrette smoke. Found bathroom vanity counter had gray/brown funk on, between & behind faucets. Sticky adult size hand prints (grease? Bodily fluid? ) on the headboard. I cleaned all surfaces myself w/disinfectant from the next door Food for Less. Was wondering why the alarm clock was by the tv instead of the bed. Went to plug in alarm clock behind night stand & found garbage & a USED CONDOM behind the night stand. Clearly had been there for awhile, covered in dust. Probably still there. Although the room I got was "no smoking" during my stay, people simply smoked on the sidewalks outside of their room and smoke funnelled right into all nearby rooms. People up and partying until at least midnight on a weeknight. Guess that's what you get when you use "Priceline Name Your Own Price" feature. No idea what you might end up with. more

yes the front desk person treated me like if I was stealing I ask for extra sheet and pillows and he said that for the price I got I shouldn't be asking for anything extra

I requested a hotel in La Mesa. Priceline booked a hotel in Lemon Grove. I immediatley contacted customer service and I was told that I could not change my room. I will never use Priceline again.
It was in Lemon Grove, a high crime craphole of a city. I requested a room in La Mesa, a pleasant suburb. I will never use Priceline again.

This hotel was in a hogh crime crappy area and it had bed bugs. I will never use Priceline again.

This hotel is horrible. From the staff to the rooms, it was an awful experience. They asked that I do not use the privacy tag on the door and that I leave for a certain amount of hours per day so that they may clean the room because they are required to enter even if you don't need room service. They went as far as to take the privacy tag off of the door so that it could not be used. There is no parking spots on the weekends and a knife fight broke out on the first night of stay and the hotel staff didn't called the cops and just watched from the office while residents were frightened. more
