Hotel Guest Reviews of the Doubletree By Hilton Phoenix- Tempe

Our hotel ratings and reviews are from real hotel guests. Priceline.com ensures that its reviews are guests-only by proactively sending hotel surveys to customers after they've completed their hotel stays. In the post-stay surveys, priceline.com hotel customers are asked a number of questions about their stay and the hotel. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best, the survey asks guests to rate their overall experience and specifically rate the hotel's cleanliness, staff and location. Priceline.com does not allow site visitors to post unsolicited hotel reviews.

I love everything about this hotel. Location is great, staff is top notch, and room service is above average for hotel fare.

I stay here 3-4 times per year. It is my first choice to stay in Tempe. I require three things to make my hotel stay a happy one: a comfy bed, a decent room service breakfast, and a little peace and quiet. This offers all three. The grounds are quiet and well-maintained. The rooms are well-appointed. The staff is professional, prompt, and incredibly nice. On average, check-in takes less than a minute. I finally used the pool this last trip and was thrilled to discover it actually has a deep end (nine feet) unlike most public pools. All of this, and it's so close to all my favorite watering holes and restaurants. If you like (or need) to shop, you have Arizona Mills Mall, Mill Ave and Tempe Marketplace all very close. The freeway is very close if you wish to explore Phoenix or Scottsdale, and light rail stations with park & ride are close as well. If you're visiting someone at ASU, this is a great location for you. It's close without being too close (read: noisy). If you're coming to Tempe for business, pleasure, this is a great place to stay. I'll continue to book this hotel every time. ...read more

Nothing.
A/C was loud anytime it was on. The room was dilapidated, worn and smelled bad.

My suggestion? Tear it down or re-model it.

Honestly - everything! The staff was amazing, friendly and helpful beyond expectation. The property was immaculate and well maintained. The restaurant served good food. The fitness center and pool were great.
No.

From the minute I walked in the lobby, hoping to check in early, this was a great experience. The staff was always willing to accommodate requests, was super friendly and warm. To facilitate my early check in, they upgraded my room, which was immaculate and inviting. The fitness center was large and had a great variety of equipment. The pool and hot tub were beautiful and well maintained. The location was perfect for me, being close to the airport, Tempe Town Lake, the beautiful botanical gardens, zoo and hiking. There were lots of restaurants and convenience shopping within very short drive. I wouldn't think of staying anywhere else if I were ever in Tempe again. ...read more

I didn't realize that it was the old Fiesta Conference Ctr. I've stayed here twice before and it was basically the same. The pool area is done very well. I've stayed at the Mission Palms and that is significantly nicer!
The hotel lacks ambience.

I have stayed at this property four times in the last 18 months. It's my first choice when I come to town. The location is perfect if you want to be close to the ASU campus, dining on Mill Ave, or shopping at Arizona Mills Mall and Tempe Marketplace. The staff is friendly, accommodating, and prompt with requests. The dining is above average for hotel fare. The free Wi-Fi has always been adequate for me to stream movies with no trouble at all. The beds are very comfortable. Overall, the property is well-maintained and quiet. ...read more

The beds are nice. The room is average. The faucet in the bathtub leaked and was pretty annoying. The closet was filthy. Also there was no microwave.
They do not allow you to use a gift card for the $10 deposit they have. It must be a prepaid card or normal credit card. Last month I was able to use a gift card during my last stay with them. They will not accept a cash deposit at all!

The hotel is ok. I wouldn't think it was a 3 1/2 star hotel. I would recommend to stay elsewhere. I honestly wish this hotel was not an option on Priceline when bidding. The last time I stayed there, the room had ants.
