Hotel Guest Reviews of the Days Inn Nanaimo
Our hotel ratings and reviews are from real hotel guests. Priceline.com ensures that its reviews are guests-only by proactively sending hotel surveys to customers after they've completed their hotel stays. In the post-stay surveys, priceline.com hotel customers are asked a number of questions about their stay and the hotel. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best, the survey asks guests to rate their overall experience and specifically rate the hotel's cleanliness, staff and location. Priceline.com does not allow site visitors to post unsolicited hotel reviews.July 18, 2012

The location of the hotel for our purpose was excellent. Other than the location we were not one bit impressed. The staff needs a shake up and a little chat in service!

The hotel is in a good area of Nanaimo, close to everything and is very easy to find. Near an industrial site so still noisy at night if you are a light sleeper. Very clean, but young unattentive staff.

The hotel was perfect for us; we needed a cheap hotel convenient to the Departure Bay ferry terminal to catch an early ferry. The room was fine; we got an extra cot for one of our kids without any problem. I was a little concerned about security as our room was at the back of the hotel and there was not many guests that night so I thought our rental car might be a target. I considered parking closer to the busy street but in the end the car was fine in the back. The back door of the hotel was supposed to only open with a room key but was broken so anyone could walk in. We arrived late and left early and had a good nights sleep so it worked out fine. ...

The price may be good, but the location is less than desirable. On the south end of town, you have to travel to any decent restaurants or to shopping or parks. The rooms were okay--but don't settle for the bottom floor. Our AC was not working and we were on the sunny side of the hotel so the room became unbearable. Thank goodness, the staff worked with us and gave us another room on the second floor which was much nicer. Kudos to the staff. ...
