Hotel Guest Reviews of the Days Inn Marion

Our hotel ratings and reviews are from real hotel guests. Priceline.com ensures that its reviews are guests-only by proactively sending hotel surveys to customers after they've completed their hotel stays. In the post-stay surveys, priceline.com hotel customers are asked a number of questions about their stay and the hotel. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best, the survey asks guests to rate their overall experience and specifically rate the hotel's cleanliness, staff and location. Priceline.com does not allow site visitors to post unsolicited hotel reviews.

close to interstate
Dirty, non-smoking room smelled of cigarette smoke and there were cigarette burns in the bedspread. Beds sagged and one of the beds was missing part of the linen ensemble exposing a box spring. The place looked closed and like it needed to be demolished.

It was close to the interstate, and inexpensive.
We got what we paid for.

It's getting renovated.

Desk Clerk was very helpful
Bugs in tub. Rest of room seemed clean. Did not feel safe at this location. Stayed two hours then moved to another motel before dark.

Desk clerk stated a few times that manager was in the process of remodeling. Room was very small. BIG sign indicated to lock car doors as they were not responsible for any loss or damage. We appeared to be tho only ones staying on that side of the hotel with one or two cars on opposite side of building. Was very uncomfortable with surroundings. Heater was blowing warm air, but was not heating room adequately. Left before dark as I just did not have a good feeling about the hotel. ...read more

It was cheap - not quite cheap enough for what it was.
It was dumpy. I would have expectedxxx per night. Also, the Priceline price was no cheaper than if we had walked in off the street. Only 1 pillow per person.

This place is a one-star motel at best. The list price on Priceline is the same as if you walked in off the street. The location is great - right off the interstate and there are a lot of services available close by. Staff was nice enough but we would not have been surprised to find bugs, mice or other ick stuff. We did not see any of that stuff and the newer wood laminate flooring made me feel less grossed out about walking barefoot on the floor. The adage "you get what you pay for" certainly applies to this hotel. Had we paid even a penny more we would have been very upset. As it is, this hotel served its purpose of giving us a place to get horizontal for a few hours before we were back on the road. ...read more

The location was the only positive thing about this place.
We disliked everything but the location.

The outside and inside appearances were shabby in general. There were cracks in the room's walls - room 136. When we complained about the room, we were shown another option which was just as bad. The room was advertised as having coffee and tea making capabilities, but it didn't. The ad said there was a "deluxe continental breakfast" - there wasn't. It was the most meager supplied breakfast we've ever encountered. We killed a bug climbing up the bathroom wall. There was mildew around the toilet and the seam of the bathtub joint. The smoke detector was missing - wires were hanging out of the wall. There was dirt piled up in the corner of the bathroom. Some of the room lights didn't work. We have pictures of the above on our cell phone. We were booked for 6 nights but only stayed one because of these conditions. We wouldn't have stayed at all but there was a shortage of vacancies in town. ...read more
