a fantastic hotel location a bit too far south, however a 2 minute walk to the beach beach is all cleaned up , water too, is clean this year ask for a room with a balcony, they are large and have a beautiful view of the city buffet for breakfast is a must - because the food is wonderful, and because there are no real choices near to the hotel as other options. pool area is gorgeous and clean - water not heated - so do not expect to swim in it before May- i couldn't get into it, and i love to swim - it was freezing. i know this hotel is expensive, even on priceline, but its worth it. the spa was under total renovation when we were there ( April 18-25/13) so it couldn't be accessed at all. ask about this type of thing before you book any hotel in Israel.( is there any part of the hotel that cannot be used during my stay dates? often pool areas go under renovation too - so check carefully) this hotel is a short walk to the Carmel shuk, art fair on tuesdays and fridays, Neve Tzedec, the Train station area. i travelled with one girlfriend. we are both in young 60 something. ...
