Hotel Guest Reviews of the Dar Jameel

Our hotel ratings and reviews are from real hotel guests. Priceline.com ensures that its reviews are guests-only by proactively sending hotel surveys to customers after they've completed their hotel stays. In the post-stay surveys, priceline.com hotel customers are asked a number of questions about their stay and the hotel. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best, the survey asks guests to rate their overall experience and specifically rate the hotel's cleanliness, staff and location. Priceline.com does not allow site visitors to post unsolicited hotel reviews.

We had a brief but lovely stay at Hotel Dar Jameel. The staff was very kind, helped carry our bags upstairs, and welcomed us with tea, water, a map and restaurant suggestions. The room was clean and spacious with two double beds, a hot water heater for tea, and a coffee table with chairs. It was odd that the bathroom was outside the room, but it was still private for only our use and we were provided with bath robes. We had to check out before breakfast started, but the staff was extremely kind and provided us with a packed breakfast for the road. It is located within the medina (not the cleanest or friendliest place to stay) but near a major medina entrance, making it fairly easy to find. Dar Jameel was much more hotel-like than the other accommodations we experienced in Morocco, which was definitely a plus. ...read more

Great location with very friendly staff in a beautiful building. The terrace on the roof afforded excellent views of the medina.
Two very minor things: 1. Shower drain was a bit slow, 2. Should post instructions for how to use heating system since it was a bit tricky.

Made for a really enjoyable Tangier experience. Would definitely go there again!

The decor was very Morrocan.
The bathroom was not in the room, you had to walk across the hall to use it.

The decor was very Morrocan. However, very basic accomodations. Our bathroom was down the hall from the bedroom. There was a bed and a stand to put your luggage, a fan and a lamp.

very rare experiance
no elevator

this place was charming and very historically decorated. its an old house converted to a hotel. the facilities are shared by all the rooms, but they are clean. the breakfast was very good. The staff were extremely helpful. They even guided us through the town at night since they felt some places were unsafe to visit. this was the best visit to this area we could have asked for.
