Hotel Guest Reviews of the Courtyard By Marriott Riverside Downtown/Ucr Area

Our hotel ratings and reviews are from real hotel guests. Priceline.com ensures that its reviews are guests-only by proactively sending hotel surveys to customers after they've completed their hotel stays. In the post-stay surveys, priceline.com hotel customers are asked a number of questions about their stay and the hotel. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best, the survey asks guests to rate their overall experience and specifically rate the hotel's cleanliness, staff and location. Priceline.com does not allow site visitors to post unsolicited hotel reviews.

Large room, with mini fridge, microwave and flat screen TV. Recently updated interior, very nice.
Other Courtyards in the area offer free breakfast but this one did not. They have a restuarant but we did not take advantage.

How clean and neat everything looked. There was no bad "hotel" smell. A very modern look to the room too.
That the HDMI input didn't work on the tv. (no biggie)

The beds, the pillows, the fact that it's newly renovated and everything is clean. Free parking.
Location could have been better. No breakfast.

loudest hotel ever! Maids were slamming doors in the morning and the walls were so thin I could here the entire conversation of couple in the room next to me. It was awful.

I like that they are newly renovated with new style rooms and commodities.
The thing I didn't like was the fact you had to take the elevator. The stairs led to emergency exit only doors that were armed with alarms. On top of that, one of the two elevators was "out of service" making the vertical travel painfully slow.

Everything besides the elevator/stair issue was good. It seems like no matter the hotel, there are always people running with heavy feet down the hallway at 4AM, but that is outside of the hotels control. The location was nice, near the college. The price was decent for the location and its surroundings, I still find it funny that they charge a California/Local tourism fee.

The window had lipstick impressions left on it from a previous guest. Pretty disgusting

Very helpful staff.
Shower had hair in it.

Staff went out of their way to provide a great experience.

Location
The rooms are VERY small and set up strangely. Very narrow and feel cramped. Nicely remodeled, but feels as though they were trying to make 2 rooms out of each one.

Staff was great, room was clean, just didn't like the room layout, bathroom vanity is right inside of the door to the room, no privacy either for getting ready, no doors from the rest of the room, just a very cold, small lay-out. Staff gets an AAA+++ though, good people.
