Hotel Guest Reviews of the Trumbull & Porter, an Ascend Hotel Collection Member

Our hotel ratings and reviews are from real hotel guests. Priceline.com ensures that its reviews are guests-only by proactively sending hotel surveys to customers after they've completed their hotel stays. In the post-stay surveys, priceline.com hotel customers are asked a number of questions about their stay and the hotel. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best, the survey asks guests to rate their overall experience and specifically rate the hotel's cleanliness, staff and location. Priceline.com does not allow site visitors to post unsolicited hotel reviews.

Modern Look
Check-in was at 3pm room was not ready until 4pm. Renovation was distracting and woke us up early in the morning. Difficult to turn on the shower because of the huge glass, sink only trickled water, no microwave, front desk would not answer phone

Back elevator had graffiti all over it. Carpeting in back hallway filthy and worn. Stinky. Room clean on 4th floor but tiny with concrete floor and only double bed.plastic end tables. No free coffee in morning. Definitely no amenities, slow wifi.

the Staff was very friendly. They have security for your car.
The Hotel was under renovation. the 1st and 2nd floor was not completed and it which was disgusting. Our room was complete but it looked like a child's play area. You really should send someone to check it out and take it off you list of Hotels.

The lobby and room were newly remodeled and fairly nice.
The hallways and elevator are terrible. Carpet is old and dirty plus smells like smoke. My wife and kids were a little scared and we just stayed in the room.

The hotel was in a quiet section of Detroit(preferred). Desk & housekeeping staff were friendly and thoughtful. The exterior was clean, secure and inviting. Room was quiet, clean and comfortable. The room was small, yet cozy. Would stay again.Nice decor.
My only complaint is that the pillows were flat/thin. My advise to a guest is if you prefer thicker pillows, bring your own.

The floors were still cement with area rugs. There was grout on the floor. The shower wall did not keep water off the floor. The room was very small and furnishings were cheap. It was definitely not a room I would normally pay over $---- a night for
