Fairly dog-friendly. Only thing my pet didn't like was how dry it was. Lots of incidents of shocking him until I purchased a humidifier for the stay. Overall, the stay was good. It's right off the highway and easy to find and reasonably close to the down-town area without being in it. Could have been cleaner. It was fine for me, but I know my Mom would not have been happy, if that helps explain it. ...

Nice location and comfortable for the price
August 12, 2013
My stay was pleasant. The room had lots of room and the beds were comfortable. It was a plus to have a refrigerator and microwave in the room. Ice machine on both floors was great. Having pool towels made the experience excellent. Breakfast was enjoyable and the staff was helpful. I would gladly come back again!!

For the price this hotel is OK. It's convenient location was a plus after being on the road for 13 hours. Unfortunately the town was pretty much shutdown after 9 pm on Sundays leaving us with minimal options for dinner. The free breakfast is the standard fare for hotels - food was good. Nice roomy queen sized beds. The OK is the musty smokey smell. If it weren't for that they would get an 8. ...

We stayed four nights and pretty pleased with our stay. The room was large enough for our needs. However, the mattresses were a little too hard, the chairs around the table were too small and rickedy. Staff was very helpful. But the pool was ice cold and the one treadmill sometimes just stopped in the middle of a workout. It was right off the interstate but a little ways from most of the shopping and restaurants. Overall, it was a fairly satisfying stay. ...

We did not try the breakfast because we wanted to drive to Carver's Orchard and eat breakfast in their restaurant. It is an easy drive from this hotel in Newport to Cosby where you can eat at Carver's and pick up local produce.
