Hotel Guest Reviews of the Comfort Inn Marshalltown
Our hotel ratings and reviews are from real hotel guests. Priceline.com ensures that its reviews are guests-only by proactively sending hotel surveys to customers after they've completed their hotel stays. In the post-stay surveys, priceline.com hotel customers are asked a number of questions about their stay and the hotel. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best, the survey asks guests to rate their overall experience and specifically rate the hotel's cleanliness, staff and location. Priceline.com does not allow site visitors to post unsolicited hotel reviews.March 19, 2013

Decent hotel for the price but don't expect to be "wowed"

Very decent mid-grade hotel with all of the normal things included: coffee maker (with excellent ground coffee), hair dryer, ice bucket, plus a few I didn't expect: a programmable safe, a mini refrigerator, microwave, and free wi-fi in the room. In addition they served a pretty good hot breakfast, including fresh waffles, bacon eggs juice, etc.

Nice mid-priced motel. I would recommend it.

The location is clean and comfortable. The staff is less than friendly and they are not helpful with questions. A big group of teen-agers traveling come into eat the breakfast at the same time as us. The staff did not refill the food and we left without any food.

AC (loud and rattling all night long) and hotel manager didn't care enough to reimburse us for our poor night sleep.
Clean, but old. Smelled of cigarette smoke in all the hallways. Staff was friendly but when there was an issue the hotel manager didn't seem to believe us because we didn't contact front desk at 2 am to report. We had a child already asleep and we were not going to make a move at that time of night. He was not willing to reimburse us any amount for the poor night sleep.
