This hotel is right off of I81 just over the MD/PA border. I booked this hotel given it was more north than where we usually stay in Winchester, VA. I did this because of the 2/4 - 2/5 storm. We were headed to NY and wanted to try and get ahead of the storm on 2/5. Was bringing my sister-in-law back to NY from NC after her Mom's passing. So I was not expecting much from this booking. As it turned out the hotel was old, but everything was just great. The rooms were nice, things were clean, people were friendly and accommodating. Restaurant next door had a great menu and the service was great and the prices were very good. I will travel to Greencastle again. Thanks to the staff for their wonderful attitude and service!! ...

Family Traveling with Teens
The hotel was clean and pretty close to Whitetail Ski Resort. After a long day of skiing we checked in around 11:30pm. Two adults and a teenager.... The clerk gave us the key and we proceeded to the room and found just one king bed(the hotel was very empty). We went back to the desk to request a room with two beds and the clerk refused to change the room. He said that he would have to charge full price for the new room. After arguing he then said it would be $10 to change the room. He blamed it on the fact that they were losing money on the hotel and Priceline doesn't let you specify the room. They obviously had double rooms open what would have been the problem to change the rooms. He was not accommodating at all. ...

The hotel was clean. The carpets looked new and it looked like the public spaces were recently painted. Staff very friendly and helpful.

We stayed here a few weeks ago, and liked everything about it but the strong smell of mildew, which the hotel desk clerk said started since the building had been refaced. This time, there was a mild, non-offensive bleach odor. I rather like the smell of "clean", so was fine with that. Clearly they've been addressing the problem. The Express Deal price was right and we'd stay again. ...
