We loved our experience at the Cobblestone Inn. It was far enough away from the ocean that there was street parking available yet close enough to walk to the beach and all the shops nearby. The bed, as I already said, was the most comfortable I've ever slept on. A staff member said the mattresses are handmade by a company in Monterey. The breakfast included a homemade quiche, fresh fruit, blueberry muffins, coffee, orange juice. The cottage is charming with a European garden look. Overall wonderful experience! ...

The hotel needs a completely new heating system and renovation. At this status condition of the hotel a fair price would be
xxxx a night. Save your $$$$$ until this hotel is renovated.

This was our second stay within one month. A great weekend get-away with all of Carmel within easy walking distance, including the beach. Sunsets there are great and we met many locals who were out walking their dogs. Parking at the hotel can be challenging if you arrive late as only 3 vehicles will fit on-site. The nearby on-street spaces seem to fill up early but we personally have never had an issue. I have noticed other guests dragging luggage across the street to get to heir cars. The afternoon happy hour is an added bonus. Rooms are on the small side and the TV is barely watchable given its small size. If you are looking to spend more time in the room this is probably not the hotel for you. However, grounds are well kept with many flowers and patio furniture for your enjoyment. ...

Pros: Walking distance to shops, restaurants, and beach. European feel. Fireplace in room. Happy hour and breakfast included in price. Cons: extra small TV (but not much time spent in room anyway). Low water pressure in shower.
