Hotel Guest Reviews of the Clarion Hotel Seattle Airport

Our hotel ratings and reviews are from real hotel guests. Priceline.com ensures that its reviews are guests-only by proactively sending hotel surveys to customers after they've completed their hotel stays. In the post-stay surveys, priceline.com hotel customers are asked a number of questions about their stay and the hotel. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best, the survey asks guests to rate their overall experience and specifically rate the hotel's cleanliness, staff and location. Priceline.com does not allow site visitors to post unsolicited hotel reviews.

There was nothing remarkable or even memorable about this hotel, except it looked like it might have been built in the 40's. It didn't appear to very well kept.
The first thing was how difficult it was to get into the room using my room key. The key engaged the lock so it turned green, but the door remained locked. I don't know if the locks were just old, but it was very hit-n-miss. Frustrating to say the least.

The room obviously hadn't been deep cleaned for a quite a while, as there was a layer/ring of dust around all edges of the room's carpet. The room appeared cramped. It seem to nurture a feeling of claustrophobia. There was a distinct, bad order in the room. It took me a while, but I was able to determine it was coming from the open pipes in the bathroom (sink & bath tub). I had to leave the bathroom door closed during my stay at the hotel to avoid always having to smell the odor. Also, there was no stopper in the bathroom sink, so I couldn't just close it off to avoid the odor. The hotel has a Non-Smoking policy (which is always desirable). However, hotel management allowed their employees to smoke just outside entry ways to each of the hotel's buildings, so quests were forced to have to move pass employee smokers when entering any of their buildings. Better managed hotels & businesses typically ask their employees to smoke off-campus, i.e. just off the hotel's property. In addition, nearly all hotels I've stayed at during the last two years offered a complimentary breakfast. This hotel did not. Honestly, this is not a hotel I would plan to stay at again... :( ...read more

The room was decent but the rest of the hall was very dirty. The hallway carpets need to be cleaned or vacuumed. the restroom near the lobby was filthy! Also, when I was checking in the young lady at the front desk was on her phone. I would have put poor ratings on the service except that the male at the front desk was ultra helpful. Also, this hotel is huge and I would have appreciated a heads up about which exit was closest to my room. Instead, we lugged all our bags and our dog through 2 long hallways. Meanwhile, there was an entrance 4 doors down and a floor below us. Inconvenience through a lack of service. while the free parking is a bonus, there are too many things I did not like. Note: while it is pet friendly, there was nowhere to really take your dog out. Also, no microwave or fridge. No breakfast. ...read more

Very good location. Easy access to the airport and to the Light Rail into Seattle. Plenty of parking. Friendly and thoughtful housekeepers.

I specifically rented this hotel because it had a pool. The pool was closed for maintenance or construction. When a pool or main hotel feature is not available it should be advertised to the consumer is they can decide if they still want to rent a room

Upon check in we learned that if we had booked the hotel directly we could have gotten it for half price or $--. As it was we paid $--. I want a refund

close to airport.
smelled, needed paint all over, carpets filthy, and their " ground" floor room was in the basement. We had to look up to see under the parked cars. Really not worth----- a nite. Never staying there again.
