Dating back to 1925, this eight-floor, 78-room property feels at home to those who appreciate historic preservation, yet don't want to sacrifice certain modern conveniences. While retaining ever-charming period elements, like a grand ballroom with two-story ceilings and balcony overview, this property steps it up a notch with complimentary in-room Wi-Fi, 32-inch, flat-panel LCD TVs with HBO, refrigerators and microwaves. From the top floor, guests can enjoy panoramic downtown views over dinner and drinks. Within a couple of blocks, you'll find no shortage of restaurants, pubs, cafes and arts venues that help make Morgantown more than your average college town. The WVU downtown campus is a three-minute drive, while the main campus is a 10-minute ride. If you're looking for a day on the greens, Mountaineer Golf Course and Lakeview Golf Resort on Cheat Lake are 20 minutes away.

Built in 1925, it is a gem! The architecture and ambience are outstanding and the staff were very courteous and knowledgable. It is on High Street and is very close to all the action.

Overall I was very happy with my experience at the Hotel Morgan. Despite many negative reviews I saw online it was more than adequate. The room was clean and comfortable. Parking was almost directly across the street. Breakfast had the basics- Cereal, waffles, yogurt, bagels, etc. I would stay there again.

I bid this hotel forxxx and feel it was barely worth it. Hotel Morgan needs a major makeover. Everything looks worn and dingy - lobby, elevators, top floor dining room. Definitely does not deserve the 3 star rating given by Priceline. Not in the same class as other hotels with that rating.

Great room, and especially great for the price. Clarion Hotel Morgan has a lot of historical charm. It is located in downtown Morgantown within walking distance of lot of good restaurants and other businesses. Close to WVU main campus and a short drive to Evansdale campus. I liked that there was a king bed, and a seating area (couch). A/C worked well in summertime. Also had fridge, micro, coffee maker. Would definitely recommned to others and would stay again. ...

If you like a little old world sort of charm and don't mind the creaking floors, musty smell and dated appearance that comes with it, this is your place. On the other hand, if you like everything new and state of the art, run far, far away. Overall, everything was clean. The room was very large - it had a king sized bed, a sitting area, a large entryway, and a fridge/microwave. ...

This is a hotel with an identity crisis. It can't decide if it wants to be 3 star upscale or 2 star dingy. The room is huge, and it has a new TV, but the linens and interior is really old. The bathroom was spacious and clean, but the window by the elevator had Wash Me written in it. The lobby was hardwood and beautiful, but the breakfast was a 2 star or lower breakfast with no hot food option (other than waffles). Basically, if you expect and are paying for a 2 star hotel, this is great. If you just want to party in Morgantown, this is great. But if you're expecting a 3 star hotel, you aren't going to get that. I think if they changed the star level of this hotel the ratings would go up. ...

This was a good value, just a little hard to find, but worth the search. Was on my way to DC, good place to stop off for the night, I checked in kind of late, so didn't get much chance to see what was in the area. It's an old Hotel, but for its age, was in great shape. Nice bar just down the street, I love going to these older establishment while on the road. Would enjoy staying here again. ...
