Welcome to the Clarion Hotel Morgan
Dishing out complimentary breakfast and free Wi-Fi, Clarion Hotel Morgan scores with Priceline guests for old-fashioned appeal, appealing amenities and a prime downtown locale.
Dating back to 1925, this eight-floor, 78-room property feels at home to those who appreciate historic preservation, yet don't want to sacrifice certain modern conveniences. While retaining ever-charming period elements, like a grand ballroom with two-story ceilings and balcony overview, this property steps it up a notch with complimentary in-room Wi-Fi, 32-inch, flat-panel LCD TVs with HBO, refrigerators and microwaves. From the top floor, guests can enjoy panoramic downtown views over dinner and drinks. Other amenities and services include a business center, fitness room, cafe serving Starbucks coffee, complimentary breakfast and free parking, something you don't usually see at a downtown hotel.
Located in the heart of downtown Morgantown, the hotel is three blocks from Hazel Ruby McQuain Park, where you can sit a spell and enjoy the splendid views of the Monongahela River. Within a couple of blocks, you'll find no shortage of restaurants, pubs, cafes and arts venues that help make Morgantown more than your average college town. The WVU downtown campus is a three-minute drive, while the main campus is a 10-minute ride. If you're looking for a day on the greens, Mountaineer Golf Course and Lakeview Golf Resort on Cheat Lake are 20 minutes away.
Finding "appeal in the historic feel," Priceline guests who've stayed at downtown's Clarion Hotel Morgan clearly see the upside of downtown restoration.

Decently priced because of priceline, If I were to have paid over 100 on this hotel I would be extremely disappointed. Bed and pillows were comfortable. Room was clean. Location was the best part about this hotel. Right in the middle of downtown, thus very close to WVU where I was staying.

The hotel is in a great location, located right in downtown Morgantown. The lobby was very quaint, staff was extremely friendly, and the rooms had a good amount of space in them. Free parking, wi-fi, and breakfast!

NOT 3 stars compared to courtyard 3 stars at all. Not sure if I'll continue to use Priceline feeling like I was duped!

Pretty nice, but no breakfast. The parking situation is perplexing at best. One small lot about 150 ft from the place. If you don't get a spot, there are no options as far as I could tell? I asked the front desk guy about it but he gave me a 'Don't get me started" look and didn't elaborate.

This hotel had an old-fashioned charm that was very enjoyable, but enough updates had been done to make the stay very comfortable. The bed was great! The restaurant has a great view of downtown Morgantown and the food was very good. The staff was friendly and helpful.
