Hotel Guest Reviews of the Chase On The Lake Resort

Our hotel ratings and reviews are from real hotel guests. Priceline.com ensures that its reviews are guests-only by proactively sending hotel surveys to customers after they've completed their hotel stays. In the post-stay surveys, priceline.com hotel customers are asked a number of questions about their stay and the hotel. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best, the survey asks guests to rate their overall experience and specifically rate the hotel's cleanliness, staff and location. Priceline.com does not allow site visitors to post unsolicited hotel reviews.

The room was awesome! Full disclosure: The hotel was overbooked, so they upgraded us to a two bedroom condo. Loved it! Assuming the regular rooms are finished to the same quality, I would highly recommend this hotel.
A living room chair had a small tear in the arm.

Full disclosure: When we checked in, the hotel was "overbooked", so they upgraded us to a two bedroom corner condo/suite. It was awesome! One king bed with a 3/4 bath (huge shower) attached, and an outside balcony. A queen bed in the other bedroom and a separate full bath. Full kitchen with stove, fridge, dishwasher and a granite countertop. Washer and dryer and central heating and a/c. Sleeper sofa and fireplace in the living room and another balcony. I would estimate the total square footage of the suite at 900-1000. It gave my wife and I plenty of room to spread out, get some work done as well as spend quality time together. Everything was clean, in good condition, and of higher end materials. Parking was free, and there is a great coffee shop just across the street. I didn't see a "regular" room, but I assume that it was finished in the same fashion as our suite, just in a smaller size. We would love to stay there again! ...read more

Location was fantastic. Great restaurant/bar. View spectacular. Who wouldn't love the outdoor seating at this place?
The only thing I wasn't impressed with was the lighting; our room was dark. Lamps seemed more like night lights.

This is a great place for a couple's getaway and/or family. Our reason for staying was for a wedding and I would say this was the PERFECT place for that! Plenty of room to meet other people, relax. Beautiful setting for a tent and very handy reception room nearby. Great flow to the whole weekend because of it. Worked well for family members to stay in hotel and condo-type rooms--it accommodated all! Big and small families with something for everyone to do. We even were able to get a separate room right off the buffet line to have a quiet breakfast together the day after the wedding, which was very nice. You are greeted by a water fountain when you enter to register (and there is something highly satisfying about that--refreshing, welcoming!) Great character to the reception area. Beautiful wood throughout. Room was quiet, restful. Some pieces of conversation throughout the stay were "this would be a great place for a retreat" and "wouldn't it be fun to have a bunch of women come here" and "let's get together again when the couple has their anniversary!"--which are great indicators this hotel does its job in providing guests a great place to come, enjoy and relax. Plan to come back, more than one more time! ...read more

I liked the restaurants, bar, and the condo rooms.
I received the worst customer service
I ever have at a hotel from the front desk staff and so did the other 15 people who had rooms.

The parking was horrible and the front desk staff were extremely rude. The hotel building itself was very nice and so was all the services they provided like the restaurant, bar, and the catering. We had a wedding reception in the hotel and everything was great.

The bed was nice.
Thought the fireplace in the lobby should be lit, to welcome guest.

Nice place, could use some cleaning in the lobby and the fireplace lit.

location and comfortable beds
difficult climate control, ventilator smells, insufficient parking, uninformed staff

"Chase on the Lake" - more like "Chaos on the Lake". This hotel just opened in the summer of 2010 and the staff don't seem to know what they are doing yet - eg room not cleaned until 4.30pm, front desk people who can't provide directions to the bike trails, no hairdryer, insufficient reserved parking etc. All of this may improve with time, but not the ventilator smells, the absence of balconies, and the incomprehensible climate controls. For the price paid, Chase on the Lake fell short on value. ...read more
