Hotel Guest Reviews of the Charleston Harbor Resort

Our hotel ratings and reviews are from real hotel guests. Priceline.com ensures that its reviews are guests-only by proactively sending hotel surveys to customers after they've completed their hotel stays. In the post-stay surveys, priceline.com hotel customers are asked a number of questions about their stay and the hotel. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best, the survey asks guests to rate their overall experience and specifically rate the hotel's cleanliness, staff and location. Priceline.com does not allow site visitors to post unsolicited hotel reviews.

Location - easy stop before getting to downtown Charleston coming from the north.
Resort fee - ridiculous for a facility that has no more amenities than most economical hotels, Room just above noisy equipment, nice designer interior look, but quality of finishes and material is very low.

Lovely gardens and outdoor spaces; airy, comfortable rooms.
Large construction projects covering half of the waterfront. Not pedestrian-friendly to walk anywhere off of the property.

Decor was wonderful--staff were extremely helpful. Coffee in the room was great.
Having only one elevator working was a real problem. Also, the safe in the room did not work so we couldn't use it.

Great location - beautiful setting - nice room!

Some structural repairs need to be made in the room. Woodwork around windows and locking mechanism on door all need repairs. Bathroom also had some trouble spots - cosmetic not mechanical.

Polite and professional staff, great location.
There was a small bleach stain in the carpet of our room. I understand it would not be cost efficient to correct.

I will definitely stay at this property again.

The view of the harbor was very good, and the area was safe.
Experienced a bait & switch on price. Had to pay an ADDITIONAL $12.00 per day to use the "facilities" although it was pouring down raining both days so no pool usage, the hotel lounge was never opened so you had to go next door to the Fish House.A rip off

Rating is too high, and rooms are out-dated.

The location and view is amazing and made the room a great value in our opinion. Phillip at the front desk was terrific as well. There is a free shuttle to downtown and a water taxi available for just a bit more as well as bikes that you can ride.
Some dirty carpets and a few peeling walls. there is also a mandatory $12 a night charge for ammenities. Not a deal breaker but would be nice to know about that fee up front.

Take advantage of the water taxi and free shuttle. The connected restaurant has a great view as well but was overpriced and the fod just OK, there are much better and more reasonable options available.
