Hotel Guest Reviews of the Cedars Resort

Our hotel ratings and reviews are from real hotel guests. Priceline.com ensures that its reviews are guests-only by proactively sending hotel surveys to customers after they've completed their hotel stays. In the post-stay surveys, priceline.com hotel customers are asked a number of questions about their stay and the hotel. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best, the survey asks guests to rate their overall experience and specifically rate the hotel's cleanliness, staff and location. Priceline.com does not allow site visitors to post unsolicited hotel reviews.

The balcony view
It smelled like something died right underneath Our balcony. One of Our pillows was dirty and had shoeprints. There was no microwave and thr little fridge was dripping water onto the floor.

The locoation is perfect. Very close to the shops in Uptown Sedona you can actually walk around the area.
staff and the bed linens

I would say staff was not very accomodating specially the old man at the front desk. He would stare at my husband like my husband did something wrong when in fact, my husband was just getting some breakfast in the day room. The housekeeping staff would stare at us strangely when we get out of our room - creepy! The first night, I was itching so I checked the bed linens and there were white hair all over. The next day my husband complained and asked themto change the sheets but at night, I still found a lot of white hair all over the linens. I'm not sure if the changed it or not but it does not smell all new and fresh to us. Very frustrating. The view so far from our room is excellent. You could hear the rushing waters from oak creek just below and you could see the red rocks from the room's balcony. The pool/jacuzzi is also overlooking the creek and red rocks. The hotel is very close to uptown shops in Sedona. Burger King is just a few steps away. Overall the experience is just average considering the pros and cons of this hotel. ...read more

Location, location and location. And the views.

You can walk to just about everywhere from here. Get a room in the building in back (east) so you've got an unobstructed view of the red rocks of Sedona.

Location to Uptown was excellent as were the views from our room's balcony.
Hotel definitely not a "resort." Shower head so low flow that it was difficult to get shampoo out of hair. Front desk staff bored and unfriendly. Housekeeping did not service our room during our stay.

Location near Uptown is excellent and is on the proper side of the road for unobstructed views and creek sounds. Make sure you are in the back building to insure this. View from room balcony priceless and the main reason I would return. Is not a "resort" by any stretch of the imagination. Front desk staff were bored and unhelpful. Exercise room is nonexistant. Housekeeping did not service our room on any of the days of our stay. With a few tweaks could be nice but instead screams "budget with a view." ...read more

The location was great. It was right in the middle of all the action. It was clean and comfortable.
They have no pop machine or ice machine to get drinks. No swimming pool. The people at the front desk were not very friendly when we got there. Breakfast hours were too short. Juice and coffee should be available to guests as a welcome all day.

The location was great. One night is not long enough to see and do everything in Sedona. Be sure you stop at a grocery store if you want pop or ice or other snacks. They offer nothing at the hotel. No swimming pool. It was nice to have the deck to enjoy the view. They close the main office early, so arrival time is important. Their breakfast hours close early so don't sleep in or you will miss it. They have coupons in the office for restaurants that are close by. The hotel was clean and comfy, but I didn't think the people in the office were very friendly. Coffee should have been available upon arrival. The location to shopping and restaurants was perfect. ...read more

Location and view was very good.
Heater was right by the bed and had no direction control pushing cold then hot air directly on the sleeping area.

Overall very good. A bit awkward to find and get to being right on the round about. Nothing super about it's personality except the view. Fine for what it is.

Beautiful views and
close to shopping.
More like motel than hotel.

Friendly staff. Older hotel, but awesome views of oak creek and mountains. Walking distance to shopping and restaurants. Will probably stay again. Just don't expect, the Hyatt or Hilton quality luxuries.
