Hotel Guest Reviews of the Cedar Lodge

Our hotel ratings and reviews are from real hotel guests. Priceline.com ensures that its reviews are guests-only by proactively sending hotel surveys to customers after they've completed their hotel stays. In the post-stay surveys, priceline.com hotel customers are asked a number of questions about their stay and the hotel. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best, the survey asks guests to rate their overall experience and specifically rate the hotel's cleanliness, staff and location. Priceline.com does not allow site visitors to post unsolicited hotel reviews.

The location was close to a Yosemite Park entrance. Being right across the street to a river was nice as well
There was no microwave in the hotel room even though they sold microwavable food in their store. The employee that ran the cash register at the grill was one of the rudest people I have ever encountered. He was rude to literally every customer.

The location was great. Very close to park entrance. The Merced river is right in front of the hotel.
Breakfast was good but lunch and dinner menu not so much.

Overall good buy for the location

The bed was incredibly comfortable. The hotel is close to the Yosemite entrance.
Unreasonable charges for everything. The breakfast buffet costs over $10 per person and is worse than the one you typically get free. Internet is $10/day.

The main reason to choose this hotel is proximity to the Yosemite park entrance. However, they take advantage of this draw and charge you for everything. Terrible breakfast buffet should be free but costs $10+ per person. If you eat dinner at their restaurant, most items are $20+. The picture on the TV was completely messed up and Internet would have cost an additional $10/day. It's in an isolated area so you don't have much choice about using these facilities. The one positive surprise is that the bed was really, really comfortable. I felt quite refreshed after a long day of hiking. If it weren't for the bed and distance from the park, I would give this hotel the lowest possible rating. ...read more

The location was great! It is so close to the entrance of Yosemite Park. The restaurant isn't bad either and they stay open until, I think, 10pm, but late enough that you can eat if you come in late. Has a convienent store in it with necessities.
For the price you pay, you'd think Internet should be included. The rooms are old and dumpy, the carpet needs to be changed, the beds are old and the rooms are small. For----/night, come on! I could get a great place for that price, not this dinky motel.

Total rip-off. If it weren't for the location, I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone, especially for this price. Old, small, showers are really short, just a pathetic place for this price.
