Hotel Guest Reviews of the Catalina Hotel & Beach Club

Our hotel ratings and reviews are from real hotel guests. Priceline.com ensures that its reviews are guests-only by proactively sending hotel surveys to customers after they've completed their hotel stays. In the post-stay surveys, priceline.com hotel customers are asked a number of questions about their stay and the hotel. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best, the survey asks guests to rate their overall experience and specifically rate the hotel's cleanliness, staff and location. Priceline.com does not allow site visitors to post unsolicited hotel reviews.

Location, perfect for couple looking to have fun in the area.
Not family oriented, $100 deposit and $35 valet parking charge

Creepy crawlies!, on the bed, they change our room.

The location is absolutely perfect. It's close to everything! You won't have to waste any money taking SoBe's over-priced taxis anywhere from this hotel. I also enjoyed the use of the rooftop pool and spa-like pools next door.
The bathroom was rather small and the bathroom floor could get easily soaked if you're not careful as you shower. Also the hallway is narrow.

The Catalina Hotel is a gem! My fiancé and I stayed here on vacation/birthday celebration and needed a hotel that was appropriate for a fun young-ish couple, without small children or overly wild with riff raff coming and going. I'm glad that I chose the Catalina over other hotels in the area. There's so much to like about it besides the location and pools. The staff is so helpful and informative, the bar and lounge area in the lobby has such a modern playful vibe to it, the drinks are great (especially the complimentary drinks daily), and the rooms are clean and minimalist. It's also a place that major parties kick off from. And what's more is that even with all the excitement, you're sleep won't be disturbed one bit by any noise. You get way more for your money here. I'd definitely stay there again. ...read more

The location, and there is a nice style to it. Not a fancy one. More a traveler's one. But I liked it.
Not really. Of course, an even more direct access to the beach would be a plus, but the beach is definitely close already.

Friendly staff.
Valley parking is the only option for an additional $35 per night.

Very loud atmosphere. Not the greatest beds.
