Hotel Guest Reviews of the Carriage Ridge Resort At Horseshoe Valley

Our hotel ratings and reviews are from real hotel guests. Priceline.com ensures that its reviews are guests-only by proactively sending hotel surveys to customers after they've completed their hotel stays. In the post-stay surveys, priceline.com hotel customers are asked a number of questions about their stay and the hotel. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best, the survey asks guests to rate their overall experience and specifically rate the hotel's cleanliness, staff and location. Priceline.com does not allow site visitors to post unsolicited hotel reviews.

Size of room (we used the 1 bedroom suite); availability of storage room for bikes)
Lighting in vestibule of room was poor (bulb was dead, no natural light); mold in shower stall; check-in took long time (big line up, few staff); had to drive to horseshoe bike trails (should instead have a connecting trail so no car needed).Noisy fridge.

For the cost in mid-September (not peak season), there is room for improvement at this hotel. More catering to mountain bikers is recommended, and cheaper options for late check-out when a mountain bike event is being held at horseshoe valley would be needed before I would return.

This is an amazing place to stay with your family. It's like your own little apartment and the pool is awesome for the kids!
If you have 2 children and a baby your have to upgrade to a bigger room and the price difference is huge! It was two hundred dollars more to bring all three children with us.

Clean rooms
Check-in took almost 45 minutes. There was a line and only 2 employees on the desk for the first 30 min and then 2 employees joined after. check in is at 4pm so I believe they should be ready for the people coming in to avoid long wait times.

The units had everything you would need in terms of utensils, etc. Hotel was clean and staff was helpful and friendly. All in all it is a good place to stay, we would definitely come back.

Extremely clean and comfortable, very helpful and accommodating. I wish we had more time there to use all that the place had to offer.

It had potential.
The staff seemed defeated.

Has potential, but it needed a facelift.

Very nice rooms, comfy bed, nice bathroom, good location, clean
No onsite dining, check in is too late and check out is too early (should be 3 p.m. and 11 a.m. or noon), resort is very big and hard to navigate

The room was very comfortable and included a mini-kitchen.
The resort did not include a restaurant, and there were none nearby.

The room was great, but the hotel is in the middle of nowhere, with nowhere to eat.

Studio suite included kitchenette that was fully equipped
Pool temperature was a little chilly

If you are an outdoor enthusiast, this is a great destination. There are several trails for hiking and biking, there is a motorsports instruction place next door so you can rent atvs, motorbikes, etc. There is also tree top trekking a short walk away and there is horseback riding, and an adventure park just down the road. The rooms are spacious and fully equipped and include free wi-fi. ...read more

Large rooms, lots of activities nearby
Shower pressure weak, our door to the room was very hard to open (had to kick it open)

The rooms were very big and comfortable, nice and private. BBQ on site was good, saved a lot of money cooking ourselves. Friendly staff, lots of stuff to do there and around the hotel.
