Hotel Guest Reviews of the Carnegie Hotel

Our hotel ratings and reviews are from real hotel guests. Priceline.com ensures that its reviews are guests-only by proactively sending hotel surveys to customers after they've completed their hotel stays. In the post-stay surveys, priceline.com hotel customers are asked a number of questions about their stay and the hotel. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best, the survey asks guests to rate their overall experience and specifically rate the hotel's cleanliness, staff and location. Priceline.com does not allow site visitors to post unsolicited hotel reviews.

The character, cleanliness and roominess were superb.
We did hear a train at night, but it was in the distance. If you are looking for a room with a view, this isn't it. If you want to be close to ETSU it's great

Wonder if the building is a truly old building that has been redone or if it's a new building made to look old.

Comfortable, attractive, convenient.
Waited 25 min for luggage cart. Schlepped luggage to room. Key card didn't work. Back down &Nathan @desk was wonderful. Had TV fixed twice. Toilet overflowed. Could not order room service "restaurant too busy". No spa services available.

Beautiful hotel. Very nice staff.

HOTEL WAS SPOTLESS. THE ROOMS AND BATHROOM SPACIOUS AND SPARKING. THE FLOORS AND RUGS FELT CLEAN WHEN YOU WALKED ON THEM. THE WORKOUT ROOM HAD AWESOME TREADMILLS AND ELIPTICALS. THE SPA WAS FANTASTIC. HAD A GREAT RELAXING MASSAGE. THE STAFF FRIENDLY
NO

THE HOTEL IS CHARMING. IT IS NOT AS MODERN LOOKING AS SOME BUT EVERYTHING WAS VERY NICE AND POLISHED AND JUST LOOKED GREAT. THE SATFF WAS HELPFUL AND FRIENDLY AND ACTUALLY SMILED. SPA WAS A TREAT AND NOT CRAZY EXPENSIVE. THE ROOMS AND BATHROOM VERY LARGE AND CLEAN. THE MAIDS DO AN AWESOME JOB. HAD TEA AND COFFE IN MY ROOM WHEN I WANTED. HAD FREE WI-FI AND CHARTER TV WITH ALL THE CHANNELS. WHEN COMPARED PRICES AND HOTELS AROUND THE AREA THIS HOTEL WAS MAYBE 10.00 MORE BUT OH WELL WORTH IT. THE RAMADA WAS THE SAME PRICE. THIS IS NOT AN ORDINARY CHAIN HOTEL BUT ONE MUCH BETTER. ...read more

Tall ceilings, nice furniture.
As long as you don't look at the ceilings in your room, you might enjoy the stay. You might find them in dire need of repainting.

Terrible. Front desk "couldn't find" my reservation @ 2:00am after driving 5 hours, and gave us much different rooms than we originally booked through Priceline. We booked two king rooms with pullout sofas and were given double queens with no pullouts. Naturally, the were full on Valentine's/President's Day weekend and this was all they had left.

Location, classy
Faux antique furniture in rooms (chipboard veneer) is getting shabby, dented, chipped

A lovely fun place to stay... classy feel

Old warm charm, best amenities.

A gem. On par with the highest end Hilton and Marriott hotels. Even better actually!
