Hotel Guest Reviews of the Captain Grant's Bed And Breakfast

Our hotel ratings and reviews are from real hotel guests. Priceline.com ensures that its reviews are guests-only by proactively sending hotel surveys to customers after they've completed their hotel stays. In the post-stay surveys, priceline.com hotel customers are asked a number of questions about their stay and the hotel. On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the best, the survey asks guests to rate their overall experience and specifically rate the hotel's cleanliness, staff and location. Priceline.com does not allow site visitors to post unsolicited hotel reviews.

The hosts were excellent and the location perfect.
Room was a little dusty. Would have liked to have some fresh fruit at breakfast, and table fruit in a bowl on the dining room table where they have the cake and cookies. Fresh baked items would have been a nice touch.

We were greeted in the parking lot immediately upon arriving and Ted carried my bags to the room, which was a nice touch. He and Carol were very knowledgable about the area, and were warm, friendly and approachable. The location was perfect - right in between both CT casinos. We had read about the ghostly sightings here, and were expecting to see "something" during our stay. We stayed in the Holly room, in a building separate from the main building, and at night, we heard "old house" noises - banging, knocking, etc. - that you usually hear when the heat goes on and off. That was it! The sherry in the room was tasty, and the breakfast was delicious: pancakes with strawberry compote, scrambled eggs, bacon, juice, coffee, and tea. I would recommend that they add fresh fruit to the breakfast and also on the table during the day. Overall it was a very enjoyable stay and we will definitely stay there again. ...read more
